I wanted to try something now and show you guys the full canvas from the piece instead of just the art itself.

My pieces are always buttressed by studies, generally studies of talented animators. I pick a particular thing I want to improve on, I do some reproductions from the source material, and then I apply the concept to one of my OCs.

Lately I've been watching Kare Kano. It's Gainax so there's a lot of great examples of really well pushed drawings. I was vibing on all the close up fisheye faces.

There's also some doodles from Azuki Chan on the right. A really cute show from 1995. Very appealing chibi drawings; good to study for when I need to draw characters at distance.
