The Flying Squad is like a mobile police team that specialises in foiling robberies. Famously the subject of the series The Sweeney. They weren't tied to a branch, like a Manchester borough for example, and had less restrictions, they was armed too. So they operated anywhere. Something like that. They dont exist anymore, as they got a bad reputation for corruption and bending rules and was shut down a few years after this show. The big wigs in charge of it got locked up

In case you were wondering, 'regina' is Latin for 'queen'. So in theory we may soon see crests and such with CR on them for 'Charles Rex'. Side note : Latin actually comes up a lot when it comes to the law! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Latin_legal_terms (Not sure if its use is as common or heavy in the US as in Europe though.)
