Yes and ho!

Andy Luke

Good to hear, Josh, you breaking out of the Malcolm Tucker Stockholm Syndrome you developed last series :D I think this is one of my favourite episodes. Each story strand is packed with hilarious developments and bursting with dialogue that makes me roar aloud. The first two episodes did a remarkable job of setting up a new complicated status quo. This one fleshes it out further, bringing all the characters to the fore, and then it detonates, and detonates, and detonates. Series 4 achieves such a high level of economy in storytelling. Yes and ho!

I like The Thick of It. Prepare yourself for a very boring episode at the end of the season. At the time, I find it entertaining but on rewatch not so much. The whole episode is them testifying in front of a committee. Bit of an anticlimactic end to the series. Zzzzz

Saul

The final third of the episode picked up hugely; they built up to that frenzied crescendo. Have to say that season 4's writing feels a little more forced and try-hard than previous seasons, or maybe it's the new characters who aren't selling it. But that's just a case of a great show being slightly less great than usual, it's not a serious downturn.

I respect your right to disagree. Mebbe, I'll like it after all when its reviewed here. Mebbe.

My ongoing love for Peter Mannion MP continues, he's a decent bloke who wants to do well by people. His party is trying to be cool and trendy and he's just an old fashioned politician, having to deal with Stuarts bullshit. But you see when he's not being made to sell shit where he has no idea what he's talking about he's good with people and the press. His speech outside the office talking about Mr Tickles death is heartfelt and sincere. I love the ongoing story of Peter and Glenn being too old and outdated for the party but quite clearly being the only two decent human beings in the building.
