Your commentary on this episode was golden! Loved how you reacted to Steve Fleming and how you picked up on Malcom's assistant Sam being upset at his departure. Also really interesting to hear your own experience with bad managers (we've all had managers like those).

Time is one of the best character comedies of all Terri.

What a great epiusode. Masterful, the shift to drama in the final five minutes. And yes, their celebrations make sense on a certain level, after being hectored and even assaulted by Malcolm, but he was at least honest in his dishonesty. It wasn't smuggled in underneath a smarmy-sweet cover like it is with Steve Fleming. So you'd think, having had a glimpse of Malcolm's replacement they might be a little more cautious. I think, given the choice between Fleming and Malcolm I'd go for Malcolm. I feel like he's honest, and he is at least fighting, fighting hard, all the time, never relents in intensity. That's reliable - you can rely on him to be there, fists up, ready for the next battle. Okay, sometimes your priorities will clash and he'll be coming after you, but I'd rather have that up front, out in the open, man-to-man fight than have someone turn up - having already informed the press of your sacking - and slide in the knife with one hand while shaking your hand with the other.

Steve Fleming is my favourite character in this show. The way he's portrayed is perfect - the best blend of psychopathic, sleazy and looking like he's going to blow his top any moment! Superbly played.

Great episode, great content, and loved the insight at the end :)

Steve Flemming reminds me of a teacher I had in school, he had exactly the same kind of Psycopath energy Steve flemming radiates in this, even talking in that same way when he got annoyed that was calm but with a heavy hint of "I'm gonna rip your fucking head off". Really brings back chilling but also kinda funny memories seeing that performance.

David Haig as Steve Fleming is absolutely phenomenal in this episode, such a great performance. He's so unnerving and there's something quite scary about him, but I also find him quite sad, like a man just on the brink of a nervous breakdown😂

Going through these reactions again... I have had a few awful managers that know what to do/say to look good to the right people above. They tend to jump through different roles and companies. Thankfully I have a manager now that doesn't care about getting further up the ladder so cares about his staff.
