There is an article about the song being in every season. (I have removed spoilers) Fans of the Netflix smash-hit will probably think of the opening line of one haunting song that appears in each season. "You can blame me, try to shame me, and still I'll care for you . . ." The song in question is a haunting yet beautiful song released by Irma Thomas in 1964 - Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand). It appears in each season starting with Fifteen Million Merits in season one. The song is also heard in season two (White Christmas), season three (Men Against Fire) and (REDACTED). According to Brooker, the song was chosen for Jessica Brown Findlay's character Abi as a creative choice. The song always comes in at a trying time for one of Black Mirror's protagonists. Abi performs it in a talent show called Hot Shot, her only chance to escape from a life of borderline slavery. Speaking to The Wrap, Brooker said: "It was originally selected for ["Fifteen Million Merits"] because it was, it has the sound of a timeless haunting classic, yet wouldn't be familiar to most viewers. “The idea was to have the character of Abi sing a song of earnest beauty." The song appears again when Beth sings it at a karaoke bar in White Christmas while a character sings it in Men Against Fire while holding somebody at gun point. Co show-runner Annabel Jones added that Brooker "liked the idea of nesting all the episodes together in an artistic universe of sorts". Jones told The Wrap: "Oh, I think you know it is just — it's an Easter egg. "I think it's something we just love and find very emotive. And it's something that's really worked for us as a motif. And so if we can bring it back in and it adds to the overall sense of the universe or connection between some of the things that we're talking about, then that's great. But it is a lovely piece of music." (REDACTED) (REDACTED) (REDACTED) (REDACTED) Let's hope we hear it in plenty more episodes! While there is now official word yet on whether Black Mirror will return for a sixth season, you can guarantee Irma Thomas' hauntingly beautiful song will make a reappearance should they release a batch of new episodes.

I think the dream stuff was something they were programmed to experience. That dude said something about giving him real sleep tonight and clicked something on the computer and that was the dream he had with the too many tabs open 😂. So I don’t necessarily think that was his ultimate dream or something, I think it was more of a case of the company forcing that on him to sleep better. That tab thing made me laugh haha
