Just to explain what happened with Hugh: there was a cabinet reshuffle, when the Prime Minister rotates or changes the ministers in his cabinet which could be for several reasons. The same thing happened in Season 2 Episode 2 when Hugh thought he might be kicked out of DoSA, but it became DoSAC instead. Also to key you in to some British political history, these specials are based off of the end of Tony Blair's time as PM, and the party was starting to form cabals around potential replacements as leader and trying to freeze each other out. The Nutters in this are stand-ins for the cabal that was forming around Gordon Brown, who was seen as the inevitable next PM.

Aah, the unraveling of Malcolm Tucker.

Having just watched the latest episode of Succession last night I'll make my customary recommendation for that show. I think the sense of humour is pretty much identical to the sense of humour in this show, but an advantage it has is that it's more easy to follow for an American viewer like Josh. Given that there are only so many good British comedies out there and given that some more 'dramedy'-type shows have been voted in recently, like Black Mirror and Inside No 9, I think it's worth continuing(carefully) to expand the remit of the channel a bit and see how shows like Succession would do. And unlike a lot of very good comedy-dramas out there, with Succession there is at least a bridge to it from two shows this channel has watched and seemed to enjoy: Succession was written and created by Jesse Armstrong, who co-created Peep Show and wrote a lot of The Thick Of It, and there is a unifying seam of humour that runs through all three shows. There are characters in Succession who are basically just Mark or Jez from Peep Show if they were American and very, very rich, and there's something of Malcolm Tucker in Logan Roy, the big bad daddy in Succession. Worth a float on the vote boat.

The "Shittest James bond ever / David Niven" reference: David Niven, while a great actor in his own right and apparently Ian Flemings personal favourite to play the character of Bond (as he had always had him in mind whilst writing the books), was the often forgotten 7th Actor to play Bond. He stared in the original Casino Royal which isn't considered by most to even be an official Bond film because of its weird presentation as a kind of fantasy comedy. it was trash.
