I'm hoping it doesn't fade away from the vote. I wanted Young Ones to win, but The Thick Of It is sublime and given that there's been a long run of middle-of-the-road comfort-food comedies it'd be good to finally get more alternative, subtle stuff(or batshit crazy stuff, like Young Ones) winning again.

Monty Python are often referred to as The Beatles of British comedy….if that’s true then The Young Ones are probably The Sex Pistols. Very wild, anarchic and sometimes weird and random. Been a huge fan for decades and while many of what’s mentioned locks it into a time period (Thatcher’s bloody bwwrritain!) much of the slapstick and general wackiness still makes it hilarious, not to mention the (usually) hilarious characters. It may be dated in places but this is a great bit of TV history. Been waiting for this for ages….and VERY interested to see how Josh will react to it!

that is true in that sense I think thats why I still don't mind the young ones cause the 8pm comedies as I call em has been a lot recently so its gonna be nice for a bit of chaos :P

at last :P 👍👍 don't worry about people saying its old n shit , I'm 30 and get nearly zero of the references in it as i practically live in my own world anyways xD, yet its still funny asf and an amazing show! looking forward to it tonight! p.s , please josh please please please! add JAM to the poll next short slot! i know i keep banging on about it but trust , its one of the better shows Chris Morris has done imo! extremely unique and dark yet hilarious , peace.

Personally I'm not saying it's "old and shit", but there's so many elements that haven't aged well. But like you said, it's still funny and there's so many shows that have aged much worse. Don't stop calling out us miserable old b*astards for our negativity though. :)

i do agree jay , like the music refs or the thatcher stuffs ect ect , I've also heard that most of the bands featured in the show is a big play into there budget (could be nonsence idk) , and don't be silly , i don't see much negativity here , your only old when you're dead :P peace
