Ok mate just been hoping still game would come up for years but it’s like 62 episodes probably would keep a lot of people subscribed for a couple of years to be fair

Mark McKeown

Think it's time for a new calculator if you think 62 episodes, with 1 a week, will last a couple of years lol

Come on guys, we need the young ones to win!!!😂😂

Some of the more alternative comedies seem to be rising to the top of the polls recently after a long period where the very popular more MOR comedies kept getting voted, and I'm overjoyed about it. Garth Marenghi and Boosh might still have a chance the way things are going.

TheHigh

young ones!

Gareth Hood

Would be happy for a fresh list lol Agree with Derry Girls, Netflix UK has it if you have a vpn, also britbox I believe or all4, Game On or Gimme Gimme Gimme

I definitely agree with that, a fresh list! There are a lot of shows on there that had been suggested about two years ago, they get such low votes that they get taken off the polls, but then they just come back on the polls soon after. It would make a lot more sense for new shows to be added instead, just to see what kind of reaction they get. I guess that is how it's supposed to be, but I've noticed quite a few shows get requested but ignored, and I've never seen a request for Wallace & Gromit for example, and that's consistently put back on the polls, inaccurately called a 22 episode series! (I love the first three short films, haven't seen much else, but calling it a 22 episode series is just wrong!)

Please The Thick of It😬🙏

mrtheevilmage

am hoping the thick of it gets through, am kinda sick of young ones reactions from people atm.

I think The Young Ones will be far more up Josh's street than The Thick of It. I liked The Thick of It but I do think people want this show to win purely because they personally love it rather than their believing Josh will enjoy it! The Young Ones would be so different and refreshing and we know how much Josh loved Bottom and Rik and Ade. Would be fantastic to see him see their most most renowned early work!

Ed

I think by now it would be cool to open it up to US shows as well. But because they have lots of episodes in each series you could have votes like u do with Taskmaster to keep the show going to the next series etc. I'd love to see u react to something like Frasier

Anonymous

The time to open it up to non UK shows came over a year ago! It's so frustrating that it's mostly UK shows. The one exception at the moment is What We Do in the Shadows, but there should be way more.

Anonymous

I think Arrested Development would be a great reaction. It's better than practically everything on this list.

Anonymous

The only problem is is that the audience that watch josh's reactions are probably predominantly from the UK as he's reacted to so many UK shows. Also the part of the appeal of this amazing channel and multiple others is is that people outside of the UK react to our shows that don't get the attention they desserve worldwide. Inside no 9 is a great example, its so underrated so its nice to see someone outside the UK appreciate it and love it as much as me.

mwdoom

used to love the young ones - but its so dated and of its time with regards to references

Joe

You're right but I fear the Thick of it would be even worse in that respect.

mwdoom

More specific than that - Life's too short - so many good characters, and the celeb appearances are up there with the best from Extras... i love it lol

Anonymous

I've only seen bits of it and it does look decent to be fair!

Anonymous

That's why before I watched it, as I'm only 19,i made sure I watched some alternative comedy and did some research about the context of the show to understand the references more. It really helped my love of it. Plus I adore everything rik and ade have done. I'd probably recommend to josh to also do a bit of research about the time as well.

Anonymous

Well, technically it would be two years. It's just that the episodes wouldn't last for the entirety of the second year.

He's established his UK audience, they're not going anywhere. If he were to broaden the parameters, his UK audience will stick around to watch, and he'd gain new patrons too. If it remains "American reacts to British things", then those of us not from the UK will eventually leave because it's clear we're not the target audience.
