The cheesy convoluted catchphrase Alan Partridge insists his guests joins in with, throughout this series, comes from the chorus of a 70’s pop song by ABBA. When the show was aired, most people in the UK would have been familiar with it. Yeah, I was gonna tell Josh he should watch the Abba - 'Knowing Me Knowing You' official video before watching this series. And bear in mind it was the epitome of 'dad-rock' cringe music for most young folks in 1994.
