I looked up The Wombles and know what they are now. I really should have paused it and looked it up because they do look like hedgehogs lol.  I enjoyed the previous episode more mainly because of the Rube Goldberg machine gave it that extra layer of wackiness that I love. As soon as I saw the shadow outside the tint and the zipper opening I knew it was the flasher lmao . Like Richie said what do flasher get out of it , I have always wondered the same, what's the point. Overall I really enjoyed this episode.

This was always my favourite episode growing up (I was 10/11) and it probably still is now. Like most Bottom fans I can't help quoting the "I've got a packet of chocolate Hob Nobs" whenever we buy some from the shops 😂

This is one of my favourite episodes 😂 my brother and I learnt the little song Richie sings in the tent and used to say it before bed for a while when we we kids. Still remember the words exactly. I always think of the wombles when I see hedgehogs as well because of this. I've felt low all day today and this cheered me up a bit tbh, thanks Josh.

I just remembered some trivia you might be interested in! Mark Hamill is a big fan of Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson! When he found out Ade was on the cast list for The Last Jedi he fan boyed really hard and got his picture took with him (twitter.com/hamillhimself/status/1074238189127245824). Although he didn't get to meet Rik Mayall, because he was such a big fan he cameo'd in an episode of Greg Davies' sitcom Man Down, as this was the last thing Rik worked on before he died (playing Greg's dad).

I think the only episode I don't like is the Ferris Wheel one. This episode I quite like, particularly the manic scream of "WOMBLES!!!"

Wombles man. They were a big craze in the 1970's. Actually had a bunch of records in the charts. Obviously they're nostalgic by the time of Bottom coming along. They roam Wimbledon Common picking p peoples' litter and putting it to use. Charming little show.

A sad fact: This episode wasn’t shown on TV during season 2 as planned due to a real life murder on Wimbledon Common (where the episode is set) of a young woman shortly before the transmission date. Out of sensitivity to the victims family the BBC didn’t air it until about 3 years later!

Wombles used to freak me out when I was a kid and still does ( tmcreatures with no mouths and soukess eyes getting closer to the screen, thought as a kid they would jump out of the screen like that girl in the ring. Uncle bulgaria creeped me out the most ( yet garfield didn't creep me out, maybe because it was a cartoon I guess ).
