Just to my $20 and up patrons...

One time (May 2011 to be exact) when my wife and I were in Australia for exhibitions with our Australia gallery, we stayed in Perth for a week for the opening of our show at their location in that city.  We finally got to meet in person an art professor at a university there who goes by name Panda (and the adorable name matches her charming constant smile) that we had known for years on the internet.  A day after the opening she agreed to take us over to nearby Rottnest island for some exploring.

We walked around the island on foot, going from beach to beach, encountering quokkas (small kangaroo like animals found only in a couple places in Australia. On Rottnest Island they are totally tame) until we found a beach to ourselves.  Panda and I went snorkeling, and I noted how similar the underwater terrain was to that of Southern California.

I had towed my underwater camera rig with me all the way from the mainland, so Panda and I thought it would be a good idea to get some shots for my ongoing underwater project (and truth be told, i have almost no shots of nudes swimming underwater in the ocean, so we couldn't pass up on the opportunity).  Despite the chilly water, and pretty poor visibility, Panda slipped out of her bathing suit (and i slung them around my shoulder since we were far from the beach at that point) so I could watch her swim..

Look for the Panda Chau off Rottnest folder in the Archive to see the set.
