Just two days after the September 11 attacks, WWE was the first entity to hold a mass public gathering in the United States. On this episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt revisits that episode of Smackdown, giving insight on Vince McMahon's decision to run, how talent truly felt about working, and whether or not they regretted doing so.

Coming next week! It's the DEBUT episode of "The Hacksaw Hour" as Hacksaw revisits the time he beat none other than Steve Austin for the US Title (in 35 seconds) at Fall Brawl…and details the issues he had with Steve behind-the-scenes.

This was another great episode! It was my 2nd year of teaching when this happened. I was walking through the teacher's lounge when I saw it on television. We were told not to tell the kids, which I think was the right call because we didn't have all of the information. I was in college music theory class when the Murray bombing happened. We were instantly dismissed from class. Tough times but Americans fight back and support each other in times like those.
