I did NOT say anything when Bruce went off on the dark side of the ring guys. I did think it though. I like Bruce. Sometimes definitely more than others. It's fun to bust his balls. Don't mistake that for some kind of heat. That said, he's on my Mt Rushmore of liars in wrestling who aren't wrestlers. Bruce, Paul Heyman, Vince Russo and Vince McMahon. If anybody wants to argue that, be my guest. Just explain yourself in a valid, coherent way. This is definitely the place to find somebody who could. He's right. The dark side people definitely focus on the dark stuff and sometimes do things to sweeten the story a bit more. So? in 2023, who doesn't? WWE sure as hell does. Anybody see a hit piece on Randy Savage recently? Revisionist history of everything in wrestling Vince's favorite saying being "perception is reality" or put another way, they'll believe what we tell them to believe. I think the biggest problem I've had with the dark side stuff was the Owen Hart episode. Specifically not doublechecking Martha's facts and just believing it as fact. I remember her saying she took her two kids out on the catwalk Owen fell from and died. Do you really think any major or minor arena anywhere in the world, after somebody dies in an accident, is going to let htat person's wife and two young kids out onto a catwalk that high above everything? Of course they aren't. I call these things "survivor's lies". They clearly are real victims. They just use it as an excuse to make up more lies to make things seem worse than they are. Nancy Argentino's father did something similar in the Jimmy Snuka episode when he said the morician was proud of the job he did to get her an open casket funeral. No way any mortician is going to say that AT the actual funeral. I understand not calling them out on these lies. I wouldn't put it in the final cut, though. I still think the dark side boys need to a dark side shorts series. My thoughts are to go to wrestling's cleanest guys and make a five minute video about Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat cutting in front of somebody in the third grade because he was allexcited about the assembly on drug prevention. Maybe somebody got on Mick Foley's bad side and he called them a filthy cocksucker for some reason.
