I’ve got to disagree with Eric saying college football is getting more and more popular. It is popular make no doubt. But with conference realignment I believe CFB is actually decreasing bc we are losing that tradition that CFB is based on. TV and advertisers are killing the thing that made CFB special. A feeling that the NFL has had a harder time tapping into but I believe the NFL is starting to really fill the gap now with CFB losing ground. I will research ratings and impressions and see if my gut is accurate. 10 years ago I’d watch all the college games I could on any given Saturday but now my team is playing a game 2,000 miles away I care much less now. But my NFL viewing has increased dramatically. Also the transfer rules have really hurt investing in player development bc in most cases the player will not be around next year bc he got a better NIL deal with a big car dealership at another college. NCAA will figure this out but it will be to late just like they do any in every other case. Let me know if anybody else feels this way about college football these days.
