Dan might be my favorite guest on this show yet. It's a shame Eric had to interrupt him a couple times. I'm sure it was for time concerns. For you newbs, I think he was an original sponsor of something to wrestle with. I have to brag. Eric mentioned Richard Nixon going to China in the 70's. When he went there, he was gifted 5 swords. I recently had an extremely high quality soshu kitae katana made for me and it came from the same forge that was commissioned to make ones Nixon got. I think Eric's wrong about his theory on the origins of hate and racism stemming from fear of what you don't fully know or understand. Everybody reading this has had a bad day. Ever take that bad day out on somebody who had nothing to do with that bad day? Think of that on a slightly larger level. Life isn't always fair or enjoyable. Sometimes it's just plain hard. It's often a whole hell of a lot easier to blame that on somebody else than it is to actually do something to change it or to just accept it if you can't change it. They have that anger or hatred and are too stupid to know why. All they know is they have it. Finding a home for that hate, no matter how little sense it makes to us, works for them. For my evidence, think about everybody you know who hates any group of anything. They aren't normal, well adjusted people. They all have issues of some sort. Instead of dealing with it, they just find it easier to take it out on somebody else.
