Side stories? (Patreon)

The work for Lake & Jorgen update is going well so far! Prince O' Sky is working for a new illustration, and after seeing a sketch I have to say I am really excited for it.

In the meantime, there's something I wanted to ask you. The setting in Dawn Chorus is on purpose fairly limiting, both in terms of timeframe and physical location, so sometimes I write down ideas for smaller stories with the cast that happen before or after the events in game. It helps me get a breather from working on the same stuff and thinking of the same events all the time, which helps with creativity and enthusiasm.

This month in a sudden burst of inspiration I finished an outline for a side story I'd like to write someday, illustrating in part Lake's first few months after moving to Norway. The story has some NSFW elements (and most of the ones I came up with have), but an SFW version of it would work too.

I'd like to adapt the story into a visual novel format - something completely standalone. This, however, is a bit of work and resources (illustration, additional sprites) that could towards Dawn Chorus, hence the question:

Would you rather have me dedicate all my working time to the main game, or allocate some of my time (not a lot) to working on side stories, or at least this one to see how it goes?
