"I can't. I cannot." Yup, that's episode 14 in two words alright! Haha, what a scene. I enjoyed seeing Frieren's praise meet Heiter's expectations (and more) as it also works (like everything else in this series) as a callback, all the way to episode one, where Frieren repeatedly complains about getting head pats from Heiter. And just to touch briefly on the difference between Zoltrak and the flying magic - which they don't understand the theory behind yet, Frieren says in this episode, so they can only just copy it, not repurpose it to all different uses. However, Zoltrak has undergone 80 years of magic research (I'd like to believe headed by Frieren) and has been fully understood and thus can modified in a way flying magic cannot. Which is exactly what Frieren did and taught to Fern -- and we see back around episode 9 Lugner saying to Fern as he's non-lethally hit by it that he doesn't even recognize it as Zoltrak; it is now a spell specialized in demon killing, Zoltrak no longer. As if killing Qual with his own magic wasn't enough, Frieren has taken it and turned it in to the biggest weapon they possibly have against demon kind.

Himmel: *proposes* Frieren: I wonder what he means? In the beginning of the ride the guy actually said he runs an accessory shop, so it makes sense he has a spell related to magic, it's not that coincidental but still nice. 'Bande' Woods - 'Gang' Woods 'Avian' Monsters - another word for 'bird' Excited for next week!

I can't picture Frieren heading a Zoltrak focused Manhattan Project. I imagine humans would be bringing daily or hourly updates, and she'd be trying to defer things to a yearly or decade long pace in between updates.
