Hori is a FREAK! Lol, love the character development we got on ayasaki and the prez, and i guess you could call it further character development for hori as well.

Horimiya has me looking at shows like spy family funny. All this great character development makes certain shows fill like a bunch of filler in hindsight because of their lack of progression with the way they handle relationships

You misy aso consider that they cut out alot of content from the manga. There is about 20 volumes from the manga and they cut out a majority to fit in a 12 episode series

I wouldn't say it was a majority. They get together fairly quickly in the manga as well. I forget which chapter, but it was before half way, and the manga is only like 120 chapters.

I mean speed isnt what makes a show better. Sure, its uncommon for romcoms to have a couple this fast but that isnt the reason why Horimiya is great. Tbh Kaguya-sama is still my number 1 romcom and its entire premise is focused on two people that refused to confess to the other. It took them 3 seasons to get together and there were still issues at hand. But it works. The anime was beautifully adapted. It took the source material and made it god tier.

right? like let's get to the point Not saying all couples should always get together quickly, sometimes slow burn can be great as well. But there's gotta be some progression. Slow burn don't mean just existing around each other in random scenario's that don't actually matter at all to the plot. We can go baby steps, but let there be steps.
