Lee about to sack our village

Also in defense of Canute (even tho i wished he said lemme see him). Last time he saw thorfinn buddy was unhinged and tried to kill him. I wouldn’t wanna see him either LMAO

Dirty_Oldman

I think Canute didn’t want to see Thorfinn because he is the king. As the king you don’t let anyone get an audience with you. The king decides if, when, where, and how he will see his subjects.

No I don't think so. I don't see Canute as that character. I think its the fact that they left off on such bad terms. They had to send thorfinn into slavery because he had to get some kind of sentence for attacking prince canute even though canute completely understood why thorfinn attacked him. It may also be a little about the fact that Canute thinks of the past thorfinn instead of the character development of the GODS Thorfinn who we have now. I could be wrong though. I want a valid reason for it if it goes the route of him being a king and not simply wanting to give an audience with thorfinn. I just don't think that would be fully in alignment with canute's character or a good enough reason unless the creator makes it a good enough reason somehow. At the end of the day this is basically just a set up to show once again Thorfinn's character development and how far he will go to be a person of change. So that is the main thing to think about in my opinion.

Dirty_Oldman

I agree with you mostly but I feel Canute is I’m a different place. Thorfinn means very little in terms of him reaching his goals. Canute’s only focus is the task at hand and Thorfinn doesn’t serve his purpose. If he found benefits to reaching his goals as king it would be different.

I had to comment on adorkable's shirt. That shirt just brought a tidal wave of memories and nostalgia.

its like, yes Olmar made the smart move but was it rly wrong of Ketil to defend his own lands? Not saying u guys but the story and others paint Ketil to be an annoying/unreasonable asshole for wanting to fight to defend his own lands. However, imagine that in todays society. If the government tells u, we need ur house to build a new mall so we gonna frame u for a crime u did not commit and take ur house and exile u to mexico. Imagine the outrage. People nowadays protest and march for the smallest shit, much less a scandal of this level. Even to these warmongering vikings, this kind of tyranny is looked down upon. Obviously the smart move is to surrender if u have no way to win but wanting and trying to defend ur own land is not unreasonable.

jacob

Fans might have rallied with Ketil defending his farm if he didn’t just get done beating a mother and unborn child to death

Yaboyrocklee

Correct and Jacob said what I would have. Ketil’s vibe in leadership lost support. I was initially with him. Than he beat Arnheid to death and lost interest in him.

Mufid Lassissi

He built his lands on the back of slaves . He is a subject to the king . He rules his farms. Teh king rules the country

IRIGAMAGORI

if he saw Thorfinn, he would doubt for a moment that it's really him
