First names in Japanese Culture aren't normally used without knowing someone personally for awhile and getting permission. There are different was to call a person that'a a friend these are Kun, Chan and San. Its like Sir or Madam and and senior or junior. It depends a few different things. So, being called by your first name is not well respected unless you really know someone and have permission to. It also a sign of how close someone is to a person by which they use in conjunction with last name.

I feel like with Kushida, the bitchy blackmail side of her is her real side and she is afraid that if she was her real self nobody would care about her. That's why she does the fake be friends with everyone schtick. I feel liker her lines about knowing when people are wary around her and her being lonely are her actual true feelings.
