Emilia at this point in the story is just your basic heroine in distress that continually needs to be saved though. In fact, you talk about the trauma Rem inflicted over Subaru, but you can argue that pretty much all of Subaru's death have had ties to Emilia in one way or another. If Emilia wasn't here, Subaru would not be suffering as he is now. In fact, this ep confirmed that Emilia is a threat to the entire world because of her contract with Puck

He didn't "just get it", what he said in this episode about himself is something that has always been in his mind even before being summoned here. He acts up the way he does in the earlier episodes precisely because he's trying to be someone else, because he hates himself so much. It's just not something he has confronted until now because no one but Rem has gotten this close to him. Emilia can comfort him, but she doesn't understand or know Subaru.

yea, true, in the end, it's about who he loves, although he definitely didn't need to kick dirt at Rem because of it. That said, with the way the story is going, I'm suspicious how much of it was his own true feelings vs what he was brought over in this world to do in the first place.

Not gonna lie...I also had a bit of a jaw drop with silence....theeeeen after I was done being in shock I was furious at him. That boy just DOESN'T get IT! I have my own theories about everything, but I won't share quite yet ;-). By the way, I AM one of those people who LOVE having my heart ripped to shreds from movies and shows😎. If the show/movie can stir your emotions, that means they did a good job making it😉.

Emilia is waay better than Rem. I liked her at this point even though I didn't exactly like the episode much but people conveniently bypass all the trauma that she inflicted on Subaru during the beginning phase of when they met. I would go with Emilia any day over Rem. That's just that. Emilia did good with subaru from day 1. She is just many times better and more appealing than Rem. Rem ends up being a stale character that constantly rides subaru's dick. Her sister has a much more appealing personality in comparison. She honestly ends up having more chemistry with subaru than Rem does if you think about it in a certain way.

Lol 😂 It isn’t as much that she does it but that is all her character ends up becoming and doing. But yeah I am perfectly fine with that in a series like highschool dxd but this is a whole different series entirely.
