It may seam like a rushed decision to propose, buy a house and then jump right to the wedding reception (as the next episode title spoiled). But keep in mind, This story has decent time skips between each minor arc or event. From the watchers perspective, it only seams like it may have been a few days. but he did spend a few weeks or even months fixing up that house before he showed it to Sylphy. and a wedding reception on its own takes time to get invites out and all that scheduling. so story wise, from proposal to reception was a bit of time. I means, its still kinda fast in real world standards... I guess.
