I feel like,remember,Lee and the gang are not that well versed in makjangs etc. so for them this might be a new territory altogether,so it`s exciting. I`ve been watching dramas since early 2000s,so for me MMH is mad boring and predictable,but I had the same exact reaction when I saw my first makjangs way back. Those were even crazier. I liked TW a lot,gave it a 7/10,but I think My Dearest was the best KDrama of 2023,personally. The acting was superior to anything that came out in 2023,even Moving. As a writer,my favorite KDrama ever is It`s Okay,That`s Love. It just hits every beat I look for in a drama and to this day I go back to it and find something new. Best romance in KDrama history,killer OST,characters that are complex,it`s not too long or too dated. It`s funny as hell,I knew the moment older characters started twerking in a messed up situation,I was gonna love it. Characters feel adult but not boring,the ending is SO satisfying and I quote it all the time😂. KDramas are so diverse,there`s something for everyone!

Both are completely different dramas. Tw is slice of life and mmh is revenge plot. I noticed younger audience loved twinkling watermelon more as they all can relate to it
