With the announcement of adorkable's trip, I know you mentioned weekly shows gonna continue with you and director but since this show is ending in two ep, may not be a bad idea to hold off, skip nxt week's ep and watch the final 2 with the whole squad once she comes back. just an idea. the next two episodes will be pretty crazy finale

I tried playing Go once and man was it a brain buster! I thought chess was hard! That being said this asshat reminds me of characters like Ayanakoji. Not as cool of course, but how he uses people like game pieces to achieve what he wants. It's just he is clearly a selfish bastard hell bent on ruining Maomao's life like he did her mother. 😤

I think Master Lakan (Maomao's dad) has prosopagnosia, meaning he can't recognize faces. Only Maomao's face it seems.

It would check w/ him seeing mfs as go/xiangqi (AKA Chinese Chess) pieces, because there have been some master chess players w/ high af success rates who have trained their fusiform gyrus to recognize chess board layouts instead of faces. The fusiform gyrus has also been researched to be active during brain monitoring when normies see cars (the brain looking for specific models is what triggers the facial recognition in this instance) for example, or when bird nerds see birds etc etc
