If you guys missed it, the childhood friend Matakura thought Arajin abandoned their friendship because of how weak he was. Which is why he committed himself to getting stronger. In reality Arajin was a coward (literally watched him get beat on from the shadows and didn’t have the courage to step in). Arajin acts distant with him because he doesn’t like the admiration that his childhood friend still has for him.
