If Frieren were in this world, she'd have a single line most of the time. She'd grow a second when fighting some enemies. But when she REALLY needs to flex, she'd grow a third one. That's basically how hidden lines work. They're hidden cuz they're suppressing their magic power, like Frieren suppresses hers.

Just a clarification: natural triple lines are never always visible. They only become visible when the user draws out their magical power. So every double liner you see in the show is possibly a triple liner. Also the triple line is always spiky looking compared to the other lines' straight and clean edges.
