Yeah, the pacing and directing has fallen off massively the last couple episodes. (I say this as a manga reader) They reallyyyy stretched out this one to end on the Rip cliffhanger. This ep only adapted 2.5 chapters, when they could've done at least 3 to 3.5 easily had they not done the flashbacks and maybe cutting some of the still-shots during the fight. What's funny is they still coulda ended on a cool cliffhanger annoucement had they just adapted another half of the chapter and ended it naturally lol.

I mean the main reason they do it is because of how close they sometimes get to the manga and since it’s a weekly anime, they can’t really stop
