So I've made my complaints about this show loudly and often. So now time to give credit where credit is due. The fight choreography and stuntwork was pretty dope. Hits felt weighty and you really feel the impact. The visuals were mostly pretty nice too.

Remember In zack snyder's. BvS how Zack ruined The Death of Superman The Dark Knight and The Return of Superman?! meaning no studio would want to tackle those stories again for at least 10 years? That's how I feel about this adaptation. They ruined multiple arc and rushed storylines for no real reason

Heard some news that the anime is getting a remake no idea how true or real that is. But could understand if the live action was condensed just to generate more buzz for the anime. Speed run aside the show was fun and love to see a reaction from you guys if an anime remake does come out

No reason? Anime adaptation have never been done well only a handful including this one. Studios are not gonna pour time and money into these adaptation when they dont do well and with what they got i think they did a great job. coming from someone who never watched the anime it got me into it and became a fan. now comparing the two its not even close the anime is far better in story character development and all but this alone is no where near bad or done wrong

That's so interesting, I didn't watch the anime, but I really didn't think anything was weird in the last episode, everything was very solid to me. The fights were really freaking cool, I might just watch the anime now

The fight choreography and camera work of this show is crazy good and costume work/design was pretty spot on, but the story/progression is pretty awful in my opinion. Please watch the original Yu Yu Hakusho for anybody who watched this as their introduction.

Ya'll need to rewatch this anime. All of this happened in the show, but out of order a little bit. I'm down to support a Yu Yu rewatch. But I think it's better that you didn't remember the anime too much when you watched this. I think that lets you enjoy the live action more.

Hope you have a good time with it, my dude! The mangaka, Togashi, also did HunterXHunter. Yu Yu Hakusho was his first work. It's definitely got some issues, but it helped shape Shonen anime into what it is today by celebrating the tropes and then immediately turning them on their head.

Yep. Toguro never intended to kill Kuwabara. He just wanted to make it look like he did. Kuwabara just went with it(I don't think HE realized toguro wasn't trying to kill him). It was sort of a "You're holding back, Yusuke. So I'm going to show you what happens when you do." Toguro wanted to fight Yusuke at his full strength because Toguro wanted to die. He also wanted, in a really twisted way, to make Yusuke stronger in hope that Yusuke would choose a different path than he did.

lmao i love how much they forgot yet are still so confident in what happend. like forgetting that Toguro did punch his brother into pieces or that Toguro did pierce kuwabara with his fingers in his torso.

ima be the one to say it, IF they do end up doing a JJK live action (cuz cmon, Japan would) This gives me a bit more confidence they can do the choreography and effects justice for the most part.

"A mulberry is a tree, and Kuwabara is a man." Way to absolutely ruin what should have been an incredible character moment. Oh and Hiei is just...using his arm just fine? Like they even included the bit of dialogue saying his arm would be out of commission, but it just...isn't? **sigh**

Ngl this show might have the best action / choreography I’ve seen for a live action of an anime. Every move feels fluid and sells me with the characters doing this like in an actual anime

I really hope that ya'll will give yu yu haskusho a rewatch on the channel. The Dub is great and if you can get through all six seasons of snowfall you can do the episodes of Yyh. I'm also recommending you check out outlaw star if you haven't already

The Genkai Puppet show actually plays out the same way in the dark tournament fight and Toguro's reaction is the exact same to his brother's actions. Man gets beaten so bad he doesn't show back up again until two arcs later

I haven't watched all of snowfall, aside from a few episodes of the first season, so I assumed there were more episodes than sixty. And yes, you're right, there is a clear difference and I doubt they'll react to it given the length, but I'm still hopeful
