Given that they adapted three chapters of the manga in this episode, it seems like we'll reach the first really big plot moment a lot sooner than I'd initially anticipated. It looks like Studio Trigger might be trying to speed through a lot of the initial setup and early chapters

Since Roshi mentioned that this show is not something Trigger would work on, well you would be right because this is actually their FIRST ever manga adaptation, 2nd hard copy adaptation after Inou Battle which was a light novel. Everything else that Trigger has done were all originals/non-hard printed sources.

Yeah, Mandrakes are fantasy creatures that existed outside of Harry Potter. You can even fight some pretty ones in Bravely Default. Final Fantasy has some real creepy ones, though I believe it was FF12 that gave them a cuter design.

I love Campfire cooking but I wouldn't say you couldn't compare the two since they have such different things going on in their stories. You'd be surprised how much lore this anime has and that's coming from me a person who's never read this manga, but I'm caught up with campfire cooking's.

As someone who's finished the manga this is more than a goofy cooking show and it's a little disappointing they didn't give it a shot before it got put down. But the choice is theirs

I wish yall would continue this show. Believe me when I say the beginning really lulls you into a false sense of security for what the shows about. I will never forget the feeling when I got to THAT episode (yall who watched it will know exactly which one I'm talking about). but respect the decision if yall decide the show isn't for yall 🙏🏽

Yoooo. I just want to say that this show is a bait and switch. They advertise a food adventure but it really isn't. I'm pleasantly surprised with how things are going and might even not wait anymore and just read the manga.
