If they don’t stop with these fire ass op’s this season I already can’t decide which is my favorite

Nancchi

Y’all niggas just don’t know…. This cour really finna be some HEAT🔥

Christopher Ross

Nah when Sein said those two should date already I felt that lmao

Nancchi

Also, y’all trippin lol. getting rid of mold AND tough oil spots ARE LEGENDARY MAGIC SPELLS! You buy a house and after 20+ years it’s infested with mold growing throughout? Oi, mold spell. You’re too lazy to wash your pots and pans with a bunch of oil build up? Oil spell…. Those 2 are legendary

Fadel Akbar

this cour abt to go crazy

User100

Whatever Lupa eating look good as hell 😭

Merfhew

I feel like Frieren is the type of show where, assuming the stories are still engaging + enjoyable, even filler episodes could be fun. In other words, I wanted us to spend more time with Sein... by any means. 😭

Hasnain Khan

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Alexander Szabo

You misunderstood the legendary spell part. Stark asks "Legendary-level spells?", then "What kind have you encountered so far?". As in legendary spells have been uncommon, so how are they different from the spells you've met so far? Poorly worded sry for bad English

Oni Legend

Bro can you imagine apartment hunting with a getting rid of mold spell??? The amount of new options that would open up with that is crazy. Finding cheap ass apartments and not dealing with painted over mold

Alexander Szabo

The kids part is so true tho. Even with my younger cousins. One is 18, and I still see them as my much younger cousin like when they were 10.

Mad4Life

I thought the the joke was that normally legendary spells would be some crazy super OP magic like time freeze or summoning a meteor but in their world legendary spells are just super convenient things like cleaning mold or removing oil stains instead of the typical useless spells she finds like turning grapes sour or turning red apples into green apples.

Ginger Dwarf

Headass Roshi thinking to OP spoiled priest staying in the party.

Saucy Jonathan

Plot twist frieren is gorilla 😭

Gran_Air

They’re going to meet Rudeus now

Olemgar

I always find it interesting when people say "if only she had these realizations before." I can definitely see why, but I feel like these moments had to sit with for a long while for them to hold any meaning. People say this show is sad because she couldn't spend more time with Himmel, but in my opinion it's happy because "A mere 10 years" with a human made Frieren value life in a way she could never comprehend. In my eyes, those memories might be bittersweet, but happy. Because they'll stay with her until she goes. And thinking that always makes me smile as well.

Devin B

I felt Sein when he said just start dating already, I am going to miss Sein playing mediator for Stark and Fern because now that he's out of the picture they're going to continue with the misunderstandings

SoggySoup

I do love how this show constantly subverts yalls expectations. Between Fern's reason for being annoyed not being as immature as you expected and new guy just dippin.

VaelArche

The ED changed as well. It's the second half of the original song and it's like a response. "Are you alright?" "I am alright." "Can you hear me?" "I can hear you."

David Schultz

The scenes with HIMmel are always so good.

lyssa

Not roshi being wrong about sein clapped in the comments

Alexander Szabo

I just understood the interaction as it was structured. If we follow the common speech pattern of the show, which is pretty well-formulated, then it makes sense with my understanding. Although you might be right, it just doesn't fit the usual comedy of the show, if it was supposed to be a joke.

NecDW4

Wait, you tellin me Roshi lives in FL and still aint tried turtle?

Kisuke01

Roshi is a demon bro was talking bout eating a turtle wtf 😭

Cameron Robinson

I assume for most elves in most media there’s similar to humans in that from baby to adulthood (post-puberty) they grow relatively quick and then they slow down.

Jalani Abdul-Aziz

They gonna pull up to the city of magic and party up with Aladinn

What are you cookin bro?

Pocparks

these stark and fern ship interactions got me like sein rn what do YOU MEAN HIS ARM WAS SO STRONG?? AND HER TELLING HIM TO BE GENTLE??? START DATING ALREADY!!!!

Ayoken007

Another interesting way they are playing with time is how it no longer seems to slip away. They've slowed the passage down considerably since Frieren lost Himmel. Before the meteor shower, she was drifting along doing as she pleased. Our only noting of how much time passed was her 2 visits to the shop keeper where the second time he was visibly aged. Since Himmel died and especially since taking Fern under her care, we started counting individual years, and always using Himmel's death as the reference point. I just found that subtle bit of character development really cool.

Denzel

I think they showed Stark milking the cows to convey that he was trying to be more gentle after his interaction with Fern. Notice he wasn't hurting the cows.

Sum1s0mewhere

Hey they showed Himell in the intro, that means he ain't really dead

Mubarez Ahmad

I spent most of last year in the hospital, and every day my mother would visit me, she would hold my hand. I wanted to hold her hand because I felt so helpless. Mom's are the best.

hypokokoro

I knew you guys'll say sumn bout the cows as I'm watching this episode 😂

JsnSkg

"I wonder what that tastes like...... the turtle." Lupa's reaction was so hilarious I had to play it back a few times lmao.

Connor Grynol

Since combat is constantly evolving in Frieren, it makes sense that legendary spells are spells of convenience rather than power. Even the current meta consist of just three spells: flight, zoltrark, and the defence spell. All of which were developed within the last 80 years. Older combat magic is almost never seen.

BlazedEntei

Bruh, Fern doesn't even know the ladies' name and says, "the owner of that home was nice" 😂

PrinceOfHell

Yall should check out Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions its pretty similar to this in vibes just not newgame+

GigaDirt

Colds in anime are something else, whenever I get a cold it's barely even a minor inconvenience and in these shows it takes people out lol

Daniel Borrego

you know, stark split a mountain, one shotted a dragon and was carrying a 2 ton boulder around, and fern is suprised hes strong?!!

Wild

U do know that’s how it used to be right the only reason it’s not as bad on us modern day is because of the vaccination we take and because of the medicines we’ve created over thousands of years

GigaDirt

Well yeah, for stuff in the past, but even anime based in the present-day colds take people out, but I get your drift

Wild

For a lot of females they also get scared over that, it can be a real trauma for some girls realizing just how strong a man can be and it triggers the fear of “what would I be able to do if I got attacked by said person” type of scenario

Wild

But not the person she has feelings for, and I wouldn’t be surprised if stark is way stronger, he one shot a dragon after all, even a psychopath would get scared if there was someone who overpowered them it’s normal instincts

Isaac

It's a Japanese thing, not an anime thing. In Japan irl, when a cold comes it hits them hard. It's some biology thing which is why they take preventing colds seriously over there more than we do here.

Brobi-Wan Kenobi

She used her staff to produce that laser beam. The staff that she did not have in that scene. Your question is like asking how someone who doesn't have a gun on them could be scared by someone insanely stronger than them when they've shot someone before.

Rishad GB

its just the way his left hand got her....its not about how strong he is

Sekraan

I rarely get sick, but when I do a simple cold virus can knock me the f out. Immune systems are complicated and weird, and sometimes even having a strong one can be a disadvantage. It's also worth noting that several hundred different viruses are responsible for the "common cold" so it's possible you've been getting lucky with which ones infect you relative to your genetic predispositions.

YungZeus

@Dg y’all love using trendy words y’all don’t know the meaning of.

Giyuu

Ah I get it it’s like when you pick your girlfriend up for the first time while play fighting some times they get so shocked at learning the strength difference that they get scared of you it’s even traumatizing to some girls learning that man strength is a thing 😂

Giyuu

Oh wait yeah someone already said exactly what I said yeah shits real

Giyuu

Nah it’s about his strength but if you haven’t experienced this then you wouldn’t understand lmao

OnePieceMan

That is pretty true, I'm a guy but I did read about it. And the writer of Frieren is a woman, so it might reflect one of her own experiences. That said, I think the writer also has a great understanding of how people really are, it's noticable in the small details. I haven't seen anything yet like people acting out of character or doing things they wouldn't do, it's very consistent across the board.

The Zany Spirit

At this point, 'trendy words' is a trendy internet word. Anyways, I won't pretend like I 'understand' this concept of sudden fear, but for girls who argue a lot with men, I can see it being a trigger as they realize they've been getting in verbal fights with a guy multiple times and now suddenly realize what they could do to them if they suddenly decided something as petty as words should warrant violence as a response.

JotaroDrake

Lupa’s face when you wanted to eat the tortoise 😂😂😂
