Yes but from their perspective this happened before Sam 'died', and it was to prevent him from his manic episodes due to his schizophrenia. So I don't understand why at this point in the story one would view this as a red flag

Yeah, I dabbled in the comics a little and Tek Knight also had this thing with holes there too but instead of fucking random holes he was just out right raping guys. I think I remember a thing where he and some other hero was flying and he just outright attempted to fuck him then and there because he couldn't help it. Again, love Emma. That girl is just one big W after her not starting off too well and getting beat down by the plot. Give the actress and the writers an A+, flowers and perfect 10s. I love the Sam and Emma relationship and honestly he needs her big time. Love how she's brave and how she speaks to Sam during his mental breakdowns, handling it way better than most people would in those situations. Also Emma's powers as cool as size manipulation is... it just sucks that both methods of changing her size can translate to self harm. Purging & overeating... the balancing of her diet must be hell.

He might be partially psychic with the pheromones being part of it. It's one of those situations where his powers have layers to it in some way. Example: Marie has blood manipulation abilities but if she can work at it, she has the ability of flight via shifting the blood in her body to lift her. It could be something like that but he could also just be a fake psychic where he somehow did get a hold of Marie's personal life story since her killing her parents isn't exactly a secret on campus so they might know about her sister too.

go back and rewatch the dick explosion scene plus the bit leading up to it. study the cut. pay attention to what jordan says. they explain how his powers work. the cut at the end is very similar and he is the only one we have seen with this power and he has a motive: revenge. but it can also be a third party that we havent met yet. magneto dad told his son to drop the woods stuff. would make sense that they would have a psychic working for them in case anyone gets too close and BAM mind wipe em.

They really go the extra mile to gross you out in this show, and some of the Supes origin stories really are traumatic. I like that the writers are showing just what could go soooo wrong with superpowers, and that those powers have serious consequences for the owners. As opposed to say, Marvel. Not a dis, just an observation, but after watching this I ran to watch the rest of the season, and it just gets WILDER! lol
