Did he mean that he also doesn't have magic or he is loathed for a reason and treated like trash (we saw how people in this world treated people with no magic, like Lance's parents when their daughter was about to lose her mark)? If it is the latter, what is the reason?

I'm pretty sure Finn is just a white mage, not a red one. He may get way stronger later, but he probably has some good capacity for utility magic instead of combat. Lemon is probably a white mage as well.
