Last episode and this one helped me figure out the timeline.

I assumed tokio was pregnant in episode 6 when she threw up. It may be weird but I’m like is she pregnant then her sneaking into Kona’s room and it’s clear they have been having sex a little while now The con artist I think there is some truth in his story. I think it’s possible the facility snatched up some kids and did splicing and it’s possible a way happened what if the people in that meeting told the government what’s going on and they just tried to take the facility out like his war theory and maybe there are aliens seeing as asura kinda talked like one For Maru and Kiruko they found one facility I wonder if they are picking up that someone from either facility is directing them to find heaven

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

timethy girkins

Just thought of sum. Maybe Maru isn’t tokio’s baby. Maybe he formed into that once he seen tokio when tokio and that froggy girl snuck in‼️‼️cause it said tokio and weren’t we told that they form into ppl or sum?

Yoori

Kinda weird how the lady said they never taught them the concept of sex or male and female, like…they never considered curiosity? They must’ve known something like this would happen. I think Maru could be Tokio’s baby but then what’s up with Maru being told he has to inject someone with his face.

As Masakazu Ishiguro stated on Twitter last week, the remaining parts of chapter 22 had to be cut completely from the anime for like run-time related reasons. For those curious, the latter half chapter 22 involved Kiruko getting their first period (i.e. they hadn’t had one for the 5 years since the brain transplant) and Maru and Kiruko meeting up with Mizuhashi, the former Liviumen leader (explicitly confirming that her “death” had been a deception on the part of the other members working with the bald guy). For those interested in reading along with the manga, Episode 9 adapted the remainder of chapter 23 (24/30 pages), all of chapters 24 and 25 (though 5-6 page scene showing a prototype of the Kiru-Beam laser gun being developed at Takahara Academy got cut), and the majority of chapter 26 (18/24 pages). Total, this is equivalent to about 3.55 chapters worth of manga (though a number of other minor comedic and transitional scenes and other bits of dialogue were also cut and/or shortened from the manga throughout this episode). At the beginning of the episode, when Kona was running to try to prevent Asura from killing themselves, he falls off the second floor balcony. Many fans have speculated that this is supposed to be what Mimihime meant in episode 2, where she said that she is getting “the feeling something else is going to fall” (i.e. she got a psychic impression of a past event that she wasn’t present for). Also note how Asura specifically mentions only the names of other female students to Kona (when stating that he won’t be alone after she dies), it appears perhaps that Asura was specifically encouraging/pushing Kona to hook up with another student of the opposite sex. Also if it wasn’t clear by the end of the episode, when Aoshima (the lady who got promoted to assistant director this episode) was staring at Tokio when the older students were in the pool, Aoshima was noticing the beginning of a baby-bump starting to develop on Tokio’s body. Another thing that might not have been as clear in this episode that was more explicitly depicted in the manga is that the audience is supposed to realize that Mimihime has animal ears (donkey-like) and not just merely a funny hairstyle. And when Kiruko was talking about Takahara Academy having facilities and branches (there being two facilities in Nara and Ibaraki) that is meant to indicate that the building Maru and Kiruko explored this episode was a “branch” location of Takahara Academy (specifically Ueno, a district located in one of Tokyo’s wards). And if anyone is interested in starting the manga after this season is finished (it is currently planned to adapt up to some part of tankōbon Volume 6 of the manga, likely somewhere in the range of chapters 34-37), I personally would still recommend starting the manga from the beginning regardless, as in addition to the standard cutting of extra dialogue and scenes from the anime for run-time and cinematic pacing, the chapter titles and cover pages of the manga also play a role in experiencing the foreshadowing of the story that the anime can’t quite replicate (due to the inherent difference in mediums). The mangaka of Heavenly Delusion, Masakazu Ishiguro (who is active on Twitter), their most well known previous work is “And Yet the Town Moves” (also known as Soremachi), which was serialized from 2005-2016. They have also done a number of other single volume manga and short stories collections. Ishiguro's has also stated that the major influences for the Heavenly Delusion series, include the works Akira, Armored Trooper Votoms, and an old Japanese science-fiction novel titled "Dogra Magra" that was written Kyūsaku Yumeno (who appears as a character in Bungo Stray Dogs) and published in 1935. And if anyone needs a refresher on the ages of the cast of characters: Maru is 15 years old, while Kiruko is mentally 18 and physically 20. The approximate ages of Tokio, Shiro (the white-silver haired teen who was sent the nude photo), Mimihime (the subject of said photo), Taka (the super strong/durable kid), and Anzu (the black haired girl who is good at dancing) are all 14 years old. The approximate ages of Nanaki & Iwa (the two kissing girls), Kuku (the frog-like girl) and Tarao (the sick and now dead kid) are all 10 years old. And Kona’s (the kid who draws the strange drawings) approximate age is 17 years old.

To be more accurate, what Maru and Kiruko found this episode was one of Takahara Academy’s branch locations, not a facility location.

KeYo

dam i believed that shit too! gotta stay away from scammers lol.....i hope they dont take tokio baby away because you know then she gotta become a tokio revenger.........ill leave now lol

So is Kona the one making all the man eaters?

Luffy_77

AYOOOO they told them to look for someone with Maru's face... so what if the man-eater that saw Tokio stole her face and the one they are looking for is it

John Strickland

Not looking forward to the end of season

Jayden Holder

So roshi was right when he said that that was the past

Guns

So asura was the one thats messing with everything? We now know that asura can meddle with the cameras which can explain how tokio and froppy did their stuff unbeknownst to the facility members

Theo Vorster

Asura (or I guess her spirit) could be the one messing with the cameras, but it could still be Mina (the pregnant-looking robot A.I. thing) too in the present. As one difference with the cameras in this episode compared to the others was that in this episode (before the cameras got turned off completely) the cameras were still able to see Kona awake and talking, with only Asura being the one to appear invisible (while with Tokio, the entire camera image was modified so that Tokio and whoever/whatever she interacted with didn't appear on camera/appeared to sleeping still). So perhaps with this episode, it was actually a case of Asura just telepathically appearing and communicating to Kona, instead of any camera footage being actually manipulated (before the cameras got turned off completely).

Theo Vorster

Yep, and if Maru does turn out to be Tokio's kid, that would mean the stuff with Tokio and the other Takahara Academy kids was occurring during the year 2024 (since Maru is 15 years old, and it's currently 2039 for Maru and Kiruko). And as previous episodes have established, the calamity also occurred during the year 2024 as well.

Norrin Radd

Roshi always got that Heavenly D ready for his fans! 🙌🏾

nemui

i hope roshi and sheera resume watching golden kamuy soon

Merfhew

I think it's pretty clear that the old guy's stories had some truth mixed in. As for which parts are true and which parts are exaggerations or outright lies, that remains to be seen. I'd be shocked if they spent that much time on his tales if they were 100% lies.

Alaysia Moore

The story could possibly be true. He said he was kept in the "school" for 10 years starting at the age of 12. That would have made him 22 when he escaped, and 23 now if it's been a year since the escape. Though he looks much older...that all hints at it happening after the major disaster when the world changed so the group he may have been with may not have been the people in the past we've come to know to be associated with the school so far or could even be from the opposite facility

camille

So if yall are saying that was mimihime chopped up and white hair dude that was the doctor in the previous episode, wouldn't the doctor of noticed Maru looks exactly like his old classmate(s)? Wouldn't that also mean that there is a possibility that the women Maru was with at first was someone that went to school at the same time as Tokio? Also, I think there may of been a little truth to his stories, at the very least he has photographic proof of something or someone who looks like Asura.

Theo Vorster

There was a cut line from the manga during the previous episode where Dr. Usami/Shiro states he is terrible at paying attention to and/or recognizing people's faces.

Kisuke01

That man was the greatest con artist of all time he scammed the shit out of them

Daniel Robb

So we're just gonna let the spoilers run rampent with this series? :( Stg can't be watching reactors on this show without hearing a "clarification" from the comments. Like how in the fuck would anyone know Mimihime was the lady on the table? Having a theory and clarifying are different things, can't we just let the show explain stuff? 🫠

Tyrese Marshall

great year of anime so far. Just need that Undead Unluck with urgency

HollowedSlayer

The worst thing is when reactors are theorycrafting and viewers straight up have to tell them exactly what everything is. There are so many dumb fucking people who can't keep their mouths shut and just let people have the show itself explain things.

HollowedSlayer

Roshi I don't read the comments on your reactions for the sole reason of people fucking spoiling shit. Pretty annoyed that you just spoiled everyone with that reveal.

TT

Pls no more "clarifications" from the comment section bc they're actually spoilers. I'm trying to watch this blind but y'all love to ruin shit. Let the anime mf reveal

TT

Fr like the only way somebody would know that information is if they read the manga. It's one thing for the comments to spoil but I didn't expect Roshi to repeat the spoiler in the reaction

envy

where exactly? i dont wanna be spoiled >_<

envy

Can somebody tell me WHERE exactly roshi spoiled so i can skip it?

HollowedSlayer

I haven't bothered to watch the rest of the reaction, he mentions the spoiler before they start watching. There's no guarantee they won't bring it up throughout the video though.

HollowedSlayer

Manga readers on this patreon just can't help themselves with explaining every little detail before it even gets a chance to be revealed in an anime.

Riley

It's not like he knew it was a spoiler. The comments made it look like it was obvious and that they didn't figure it out, so I'm pretty sure he wanted to clarify that they understood the situation.

Kage

You say this as if he knew he was spoiling lmao

Tj Denby

Bruh, what is up with all these suicides and suicide attempts

Ebankz

Some comments were genuinely putting it together still speculating but of course the manga readers had to add every little detail to pretty much confirm it, at that point it's not a theory anymore. So annoying.

RuTo-San

so bummed out just finding out those 2 from the facility died actually kinda liked them

Gmac paddiewac

i think like all other shows. you guys are overthinking it. all this is happening at the same time i think. its a weird sci-fi. its gonna be wild but i don't think its time travel

Texenl555

wtf man. now i just got spoiled. shi actually pisses me off

GoddessHex

Nope, they are right the kids at the facilities is at the past and when we get to see maru and Kiriko at present time

Newerk

Yeeeeeeah guys??? Who was the dumbass in the comments who posted spoilers in their last video. I hope there is a block feature.

Jigga Man

It's not even that big of a spoiler, using context clues you can piece it together. People acting like Roshi knowingly put out a major spoiler to us, like bro, It's Roshi he didn't knowingly just spoil his patrons ffs. The entire reason dude even felt the need to clarify is cause ya'll stay bitching in these comments about shit they "should have obviously caught"

Ice

This man has not seen kaiki from monogatari

BornUnMotivated

what if that one "baby" like imprinted or something and that's the dude
