Descendants of the sun is a dope romantic/action/comedy for you both to react to. The same actress as that in the glory just less savage . All in 9/10 show so pls think abt it

Mari

Vincenzo or weak hero 1

Ashe

What about devilman crybaby? Straight 10 eps and your done

Tahti

Ya'll should check out Vincenzo, Weak Hero Class 1, My Name or King of Pigs

Moss

Highly recommend you two react to another kdrama called "The World of the Married". I think you guys would definitely enjoy it. It's really good. I agree with "Flower of Evil" and "Taxi Driver" as well.

Imari

Bojack Horseman pls 🙏🏽

Mari

Spoiler I forgot all about that one, I think I watched it a super long time ago,is that the one where the dude “killed his whole family or village” or something like that and he hides and changes his names and he can’t really feel emotions but he acts like he can for his wife ?? If it is, they should watch it as well(imma delete my comment after somebody reconfirms that it is that one)

Rai

The actor who plays chairman Jang is also in vincenzo and he plays a completely opposite character than he does in this show

Julia

Flower of Evil, Taxi Driver OR Mouse are good dramas !!

Cleven Anthony

Wasn’t there a slot for longer shows ? If not at least one long show would be good like peaky blinders was

Patreon be giving trash K-drama recommendations with Sweet Home, when Kingdom is the far superior and would actually be a compelling watch for the Trio. Please Roshi, consider Kingdom on Netflix for the next K-drama, you will not be disappointed.

Mari

Dude with So-ahh while she was eating plays in a lot of different Kdrama’s as well, I’ve seen him in a lot of romance Kdrama’s

KeYo

alright they finally finished it. yo i aint gonna lie. i do not like yi seo one bit. as a manager and everything she did to make that company huge yes but as a person i do not like her. i really enjoyed this show but the only thing i do not like is that i feel like soo-ah should have ended up with him instead of yi-seo like idk this is just me but it would have been cool for him to have her leave the company and be with him but great show either way. roshi can you please leave toni alone lol. he is african and korean and i think he is a singer in real life im not sure

Boah

whats the next kdrama? I need more

Jalan

React to Weak Hero Class or Taxi Driver next please.

2023-05-19 05:41:57 I haven't started watching the reaction yet (very excited!), I'm still on your opening comments, but re: Saeroyi bowing to Daehee: I personally don't think it's contradictory to the message the show was sending from the beginning. Saeroyi has always been fiercely steadfast in his principles. In the beginning, he refused to bow because he did not feel sorry for standing up to a bully nor did he ever want to be let off easy and personally gain from compromising his beliefs and submitting to corrupt power. Even if it meant he wouldn't be expelled, he refused to do it. We also saw this later when he was visited in prison by Daehee and at the police station when he was reported for serving alcohol to minors. Both times he was offered to be let off easier if he simply submitted to the corrupt power system and money around him. But he refused and would much rather accept his rightful punishment and do things by the law. He has ALWAYS stood up to injustice, including, for example, when Yiseo was assaulted by that group date guy and Toni was racially discriminated against at a club. But another principle of Saeroyi’s that’s equally if not MORE important is his loyalty, care, and protectiveness towards his people, his friends and loved ones. The whole narrative is about him avenging his father whose untimely death was covered up and punishing those who directly and indirectly caused it. It’s about bringing down his enemy through the paternally inherited belief that “business is about people (and integrity)” rather than the dehumanizing motto of “business is about profits” and “the strong will always prey on the weak” that his enemy has ruled his corporation with an iron fist with, infecting everyone around him. He has shown time and time again he will do ANYTHING for the people he cares for, even at the expense of his own wants and goals, to protect them from harm and hurt. He defended Hyunyi and Geunsoo against Yiseo when she was harshly critical of their place at the pub. Even if Hyunyi’s initial poor cooking posed a risk to his business succeeding and overall revenge plans, even if Guensoo was his enemy’s son and could become a traitor or liability at any point, he stood by and believed in them above all else. He was willing to incur any risk, setback, or loss if it meant protecting and remaining trusting of his people. It was the same when Hyunyi was publicly outed for being transgender at the cooking competition show - without hesitation, he was supportive of her hiding and withdrawing from the show last minute if it meant shielding her from the hate and judgment, even if an enormous sum of investment money was dependent on her winning. Saeroyi is always at his most intense and visibly emotional when he is protecting his loved ones and his very goal for revenge only has meaning for him if it is achieved without compromising his people. Coming back to the bow from last episode, the context of this bow and Daehee’s request is completely different from the start. Saeroyi is finally bowing solely to protect and save Yiseo. It has nothing to do with admitting he is wrong, admitting defeat, apologizing to a bully, being a sycophant, or etc. He is simply, easily, humouring an old dying man’s pathetic obsession with dominance and obedience and wish for a moment. He is bowing to him only now, against the backdrop of his late stage cancer, his lifelong busines crumbling around him, shadowed by endless criminal activity and Sooah’s promise to whistleblow, him irrevocably losing both his sons from an emotional and physical perspective, him losing his soul to his company, and not having a single family member, friend or colleague in his life left who cares about him. He started Jangga so his family would never have to starve and live through poverty again, he was motivated by familial love, and through his ambition, abuse of power, greed, and cruelty over the years he destroyed his family and ended up utterly alone, frail and dying. The juxtaposition of Daehee finally getting what he wants from Saeroyi, this bow, with the debris of his life rings hollow precisely because in reality he has lost everything. He has lost everything by single-mindedly holding onto his mindset of needing dominance and control. What he is left with is this paltry, performative, and empty bow that is nothing but a moment compared to the longlasting consequences of everything else that’s ahead of him because of his life choices. In his weak and crazed state, it seems he has won and bent Sareoyi to his will, he has finally dominated and controlled him through this manipulated act of submission, he is celebrating obnoxiously, but deep down he knows he hasn’t gained any control over Saeroyi at all and this is clear to us viewers too. Saeroyi is only bowing to save someone’s life rather than out of fear, selfishness, and powerlessness. In other words, he is fiercely sticking to his principles once again that he is all about his people, business is about people, and that is in defiance of Daehee’s ideology. His outward display of submission is what ironically and effectively takes away the last vestiges of Daehee’s power. It shows Saeroyi has always been and always will be the better and righteous man who puts the safety and wellbeing of people above any personal hatred, grudge, pettiness, pride, trouble, and so on. It wasn’t even a difficult thing for him to do, it wasn’t humiliating or upsetting, there was “nothing easier in that moment” for him and he would do it a thousand times over for Yiseo. I found it extremely poignant that THIS is the only reason Saeroyi would ever bow to Daehee: when it’s for someone else’s sake, when it’s to save someone he loves. It’s very in character and resonant with the overall message of the show.

Godrick

Yvnngpd

Y’all talking about sweet home but literally most the people picked how else would it win

TheMonarch

Weak hero class 1 my dude!

Anonymous

Yo Toni is actually a pretty good singer. I'm pretty sure that's his real voice at the end. Look up "Gaho and Chris Lyon Start" on youtube, it's a promo duet performance for one of the main tracks of this drama.

Anonymous

Hope they react to the kdrama big mouth next its a pretty entertaining show

Tahti

OMG I would love them to do a Fruits Basket reaction

Anonymous

You guys should check out Gundam witch from mercury

erinshima

I really hope you’ll consider “My Name” next!

Anonymous

absolutely loved this show, i think y’all would really enjoy vincenzo if you watched it

Anonymous

and yes, whilst it’s very long, every second is complete perfection so i wouldn’t worry about the duration

akikonyan

bojack horseman reaction? i'm surprised you guys havent reacted to it yet :')

Anonymous

Great ending for this show 🥹 Now y’all need to watch Uncanny Counter !!!

Rosie

i feel you but more for the reason that sooah was never intentionally horrible to anyone. yiseo being nice and simping for saeroyi but manipulative and everything else to all others was what turned me off her. i guess its to do with her sociopathy but i just cant fk with someone knowing they only started caring for my people to please me.

_k.ayl.a_

y’all should try weak hero class 1 or Happiness

alyssa

please please watch 'my name' its so good. its another amazing revenge story with an incredible soundtrack, it even has some of the same actors!!

Ice

I think you guys will enjoy Vincenzo! its action, comedy and romance too!

Anonymous

Anonymous

Yoooo weak hero next pweaseeeee

Anonymous

Flower of Evil is a really great show in my opinion. I would recommend it

Aery

Guess I'll throw my top kdrama here too: the Reply 1988, the literal GOAT Kdrama; so funny and wholesome, it's more episodic and is one of the few Kdramas I consider Masterclass

Squishy Rabbit

Roshi you are right.. The cameo actor in Soo Ah's restaurant is one of biggest name actor in S.Korea, name Park Bo Gum. He popular with only romance drama tho. His latest romance drama called Encounter! It's on Netflix and the main lead female is Song Hye Kyo (Dong Eun The Glory)

Kidhavac

At the bottom is sweet home huh but people think I’m tripping😂🤷🏾‍♂️

Sheila Souffront

I would like you to please react next to the series: - Descendants of the sun. - My name - It's Okay not to be Okay -Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Themperor Xaquayza

DjSKitZ

Are you gonna react to the Mario movie?

Aery

Roshi you were right about the chef he's a famous Korean actor

DarquanJr

Yeah turns out harrassing your boss with your romantic feelings for a couple years works? Be sure to remember that boys

Mimi

For the next poll - Vincenzo or crash landing on you

Random Guy

I've only watched kdrama just once coz i was bored. My first one was my Girlfriend was a gumiho and look at it now, i've probably finished like 2 digits of kdrama.

Weak Hero Class next please

cami ً

it was so much fun revisiting this drama with you guys!!!! I know the drama hype probably died down bc of sweet home but I'd still like to recommend My Name! It's an action show about revenge and it's just soooo good!

Amos

My name next please

Anonymous

weak hero class one

MM

That was the drama that got you into kdramas lol

MM

Please react to some Running man episodes!!

Spriggz

The way I see it, he would have lost some respect from me for not kneeling in that situation. Yi Seo's life was literally in danger, if he couldn't swallow his pride for that then he is too prideful. He didn't kneel to save his dads job, but let that have been to save his life Saeori would have been on the ground with the quickness.

J Man

Both great series. Crash Landing is paced better as Vincenzo is really really long. Vincenzo is amazing though because of the nice mix of comedy and seriousness. Chairman Jang's actor ironically plays the wholesome KDrama dad in that series. Best actors in that series are the two brothers and Vincenzo's pigeon roommate

Spriggz

That outfit they put on my boy Tony around the 35:00 mark was so ugly. They did him dirty lol

MM

Brooo frr!! Running man got some great episodes

Hope yall can can check out Vincenzo

Quincy Jones

20:35 Sheera Nooo! XD. I'm dead. Why is it so true.

B

Loads of interesting follow up series being thrown around so let me toss in the absolute GOAT of kdrama. “My Mister” This series is not based on a webtoon like itaewon class or weak hero. So it’s a very different vibe but that series has grade A writing. It’s quite a heavy show tho

Blueechante

Definitely need to watch weak hero class after this !!!! TRIO REACTION!!!!

Anonymous

F4 Thailand would be good to watch

PurpleJade

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO @20:01 where ya both had the same expression!!!!

qtbvnnies

please watch my name or extracurricular next, they're both on netflix

Anonymous

I hope there's going to be another vote because I need y"all to watch Kingdom.

Please react to My Name!

Joshua Shores

Shoutout to Saeroyi he apparently will be in The Marvels movie coming up

Darion Wilson

Kingdom and Queenmaster are pretty good k drama!!!

Sasha

Yeah, it's famous korean actor Park Bogum.

Sasha

Both are amazing but Strangers from Hell for me.

Anonymous

The Voice would be great crime drama to watch!

stupeyca

I like better Roshi's argument at the beginning. So disappointing to see him kneel at the end though.

FictionalAlarm

I didn't love her character in this but, Kim Da-mi (Jo Yi-seo in the show) is in one of my favorite Korean movies of all time, The Witch: Part 1 The Subversion. If you'd like to see more of her, I highly recommend it. It's better to go in blind...and despite the title, it's NOT a horror movie. I promise that you guys would enjoy it.

Rena Unnie

i'm glad you enjoyed IC !

Anonymous

Is it that disappointing tho? I feel that anyone would kneel tho if it’s for saving another life

Abstract Dread

you guys will love Vincenzo on and its okay to not be okay, both are on netflix.

Oh WOW I'm like which character was he?? He does look so different great actor

rickie woodson

WOW! did NOT see yiseo doing that "good luck guen-soo" lol

rickie woodson

you are right roshi. that actor is famous. park bo gum played the hot chef, thats why it was a dramatic reveal

rickie woodson

ok, time to get you two into a slice of life kdrama. its called "so not worth it". it takes place at an international college so you got all races there and they go back and forth between speaking korean and english. one of the leads is han hyun-min, who really should have played toni lol. he is a very famous mixed race model and tv personality turned actor. we also have some africans in the show. its a one season 12 episode sitcom just about college life, family drama, and some wild hijinks ala thats so raven. very fun and funny and cute. plus gotta keep supporting these black korean projects so they make more lol

Chris Hee

Thanks for this reaction series! I really enjoyed it If I could, I'd like to suggest Wok of Love and Descendants of the Sun as possible options for the future :)

Gloccr

To Shawn: I read it all, you’re just not intelligent.

Sayyongtou

so u would rather keep ur pride then to save the love of ur life?

Patricia

Loved your comment! I came looking for a comment like this, bcs it seemed some people didn’t understand the moment or Saeroyi at all.

Adamantite Momon

Me too...I was so disappointed when Soo Ah got dropped as the love interest..I wanted to see the mc and Soo Ah get together given how both of them have been connected to origin of all the events of the show and how both of their lives were interwoven with Jangga....also it felt like a betrayal when Mc suddenly lost interest when the show had previously shown their affection for each other and also it was known to both they liked each other but just couldn't be together until the matter with Jangga was over

I get Yiseo is rough around the edges but to me she would move mountains for MC. While to me Soo-ah staying with Jangga and the man who killed MC's father is a bigger betrayal in my eyes. The longer she stayed and didn't lift a finger to help MC, made it harder and harder to root for her. At a curtain point she had the money, status, and proof she needed, so why didn't she leave. MC dream wouldn't have been possible or nearly successful without Yiseo, so it sort of a flawless victory in my eyes if you compare the two. I wish they made it a bit more struggle of Sooah helping MC but having to pick a side. I think if she had more helpful moments it would have redeem her character.
