So, the possession is the thing Alpha, and the other girls of Shadow Garden were before Cid cured them and made Shadow Garden. So essentially Cid kind of just let Rose into Shadow Garden but it hasn't become official yet.

Cid being Cid as usual thinks everything is a game and doesn't realize his mana has special properties. Every time heals someone of thier curse he ends up strengthening their power. That is why all the members of Shadow Garden are so strong. They were already strong due to being heroes descendants and then Cid strengthened them on top of that.

Cursed/possession happens to the descendants of the hero Olivier. They turn like Mitty from made in abyss, remember when Cid healed Alpha and demittified her? Rose was about to get like that. They don't explain it very well, but I think the possession affects decendants of the heros like olivier. I'm an anime only but I assume Olivia was in a party potentially with a human and a beast person, bc apparently everyone in shadow garden was once possessed by the same thing and that's why alpha was a meat blop until Cid cured her. Again all this is semi speculation.

just a buff. Cid specifically healing the possessed has buff traits. Some of the 7 shades can heal the possessed but they don't get a buff on top of that. Also it's a popular misunderstanding but the reason shadow garden is so strong is mostly because of their training not their innate abilities. Cid thought all of the 7 shades how to fight and how to use magic and the 7 shades spread that wisdom to others.

The way I got it that Rose had the same kind of curse/disease, that the other shadow garden girls had. The disease that Cid figured out how to cure way back, when he found alpha as that disgusting blob and the first shadows kept on curing the new recruits from. (we saw how Nu also had it) This disease seems to appear in people with lots of magic potential, so once you cure it, you're left with one really strong individual, no longer hindered by the disease.

Everyone in shadow garden had the possession before Cid Alpha or Epsilon cured them. Its just a curse by Diablo that affects females with heroes blood in them. The gooey black stuff coming out of her chest eventually expands and they turn into the muk looking creature, just like Alpha was when Cid first found her.

They do explain it quite well. It's really a matter of paying attention, and how decent your memory is. I watch a ton of seasonal anime every season, and I have no problem retaining information from episode to episode for each anime.

Ok so you remember how Alpha used to be that ugly slime monster, well being possessed means you eventually turn into that. So rose was gonna turn into a slime monster called a "possessed" soon before Cid cured her.

Back in a previous episode when baldy mentioned that Delta had awakened. Pretty sure that is what happens when Cid heals them from being possessed. Also the slime suits are nothing special per say. It's the fact it allows them to channel %90 of their magic through it vs like %20 with other stuff. They are just very well trained in how to use their magic and that allows them to manipulate the slime however they see fit. My understanding so far.

I'm pretty sure they have been explaining "possession" the whole season. Remember when alpha was a blob of meat? That is what happens when you get fully possessed. Cid's sister also got possessed. All members of shadow garden (except Cid) has been possessed at some point. "Possession" is the side effect of the experimentation by the cult implanting the diabolo's power into people. All of the heroes' female descendants get it at a certain age. Outside shadow garden, the only survivors of the possession is the 3 heroes, the witch of calamity aurora and Milia (that giant prisoner with alexia).

Its not just Oliver's descendants, its the ones who were experimented on, thats why you have the beast girls like Delta and Zeta along with the variety of elves, at least 1 we've seen being a dark elf, not sure if Beta and Epsilon are different subspecies of elf compared to Alpha based on hair color which is usually a thing. Also the girl Alexia met when she was kidnapped was human like Rose I believe.

No he doesn't. I read the Novels. When Cid met Gamma at Mitsugoshi: "There is a downpour of light, falling upon the kneeling girls and temporarily dyeing their skin a bluish violet. It only replenishes energy, promotes magic circulation, and heals minor wounds… In other words, nothing much." "“I’ll treasure this day forever.” Gamma’s voice wavers as she kneels at my side. Her performance is very convincing." Cid had no idea why they were so happy to receive his mana and thought they were all acting. Before meeting Rose in the tunnels: "I said I’d help him search for Rose, but I’m not planning on taking this very seriously. I still want her to make it out safely, but pretending to look for her seems like a decent way to idle the day away." Cid literally went to go see her to kill time. I doubt he even knew she was cursed.

Basically, all the main members of shadow garden are possessed (cursed), like Rose right now or Alpha at the beginning of the series. Shadow saved and cured them and now form the current Shadow Garden.

ONLY the Elves are; the 2nd most common member race, Therianthropes, are descended of the one who is a therianthrope, and the least common among Shadow Garden are descended of the human Hero (I think it was either a statue showing the full gang or else one of the Three Heroes books covers showing all 3 of the Heroes, each of them are clearly different races since Olivier has pointy ears, 1 of em has kemonomimi on the head, and the 3rd has no visible traits so basically standard Human template presumably); Cid & Claire should be descended of her too, since we know that Claire was possessed, but Cid cured her before even she herself could actually notice the cancer growth thingie on her

Humans live too short lives to have enough bloodline purity vs Elves & Therianthropes, who live for centuries or w/e, so Elves are prolly like 4th gen since Olivier at most, assuming they have lived for the full possible span & all that. Hence why Alpha is practically identical to Olivier, except for a slight change in hair color

I mean they are likely caused by Diablos/Aurora, as Cid's BS has come true so far, and he said in E2 that it was caused cuz Diablos "cursed" the 3 Heroes, which affects them on DNA level thus their descendants are also afflicted, but only female ones cuz since Aurora is female & the only 3 survivors of the experiments would have been girls, I guess it only affects females because of compatibility issues? Diablos Cells will just be pretty much incompatible w/ males, at least in their active state (i.e the shit causing Mana Overload), unless of course refined via engineering into the Beads of Diablos that the cult can produce 12 per year, 1 for each of the Knights of Rounds to consume yearly to stay immortal

Yeah even the Cult knows about them, at least the more science specced ones like Nelson (11th Seat of the Knights of Rounds, as well as one of the main ppl involved in the Diablos genetics research projects etc, which I assume is one of the reasons he's in despite being such a weakass bitch combat power wise), since he was like "wait no don't tell me that's SLIME????" because altho they'd know about its mana conductivity, most normal ppl wouldn't have enough power to actually truly utilize the slimes effectively enough for them to be of any real use as conducting agent

The reason she was in that blob state in the middle of fucking nowhere was because "you weren't compatible" or some shit like that when Nelson found out that she isn't actually the blob even tho he recalled that Alpha became a blob instead of like the 3 Heroes back then because of being a "failure" compatibility wise. Guess the Cult ain't shit compared to Cid when it comes to Mana Overload stabilization, if they can't actually revert the "failure" blobs back into recoverable state for experimentation like Cid can w/ the flick of his wrist basically

This is also why Diablos Cells are only compatible w/ females, excepting the heavily engineered/processed over the span of a year that are the Beads of Diablos which grant their consumer immortality for 1 year (the Cult's main objective is to make this shit permanent without consuming more than once, which they haven't still managed after centuries or millennium+ of time post-Diablos defeat)

Cid wondering about another person from his world reproducing things he knew, is him tracking the trope of people besides himself (a self-proclaimed background character) also making it there and just not being as subtle about it. I'm not entirely sure. He knew about mana overload but even with Alpha he thought it was just a coincidence that he healed her. He had actually been experimenting on her for a month when she turned back into a girl. Also Rose was not overloaded yet otherwise she would be a blob.

The whole thing with Rose saying she is possessed is that back in the early episodes when cid found that blob monster and poured mana into it, how it turned into alpha, she was basically starting to turn into that.
