I genuinely thought that people in reality shows followed a certain script that would produce the most entertainment but going off by what they're saying here they just kind of adlib the drama aspect so while it's still fake it's not like everything is planned out.

This manga does mainly follow the Japanese entertainment industry so somethings may be different in different countries. Also not all reality tv shows are the same. Some may have scripts, some may have plot outlines with a ton of ad-libbing. So depends but shows usually don’t want people to know either way.

@Karoshin cuz the nature of shows like this is that the actors will get sexualized. There’s a good reason a lot of Western shows have adults play teenage characters. However, this is about Japanese idol culture, and Japan’s age of consent is 16, which is probably the age of the youngest actor we see.
