Why must they let us suffer. I need fushi and March to see each other. 😭

Excalibur Umbra

This is definitely gonna fuck fushi up because of how careless they are with being immortal now

KeYo

why would you do that in front of the town people? that one dude was like WHAT THE FUCK. his eyes were popping out of his head lmao. traumatized

TheDroppedFry

Literally bro how many damn episodes till they finally meet, then we gotta have all the others join up. BRING BACK GUGU ALREADY!

Merfhew

My thoughts exactly. On the other hand, this could potentially teach Fushi a lesson on humanity that he's been needing to learn for a while now. Having never played the role of "friend to an immortal" that his friends did, I think there's been a lot he never understood. Maybe now, he'll be able to "walk a mile in their shoes" so to speak. Humans are social creatures, humans need rest, and humans aren't capable of doing EVERYTHING (we all need help from time to time). Despite being urged by Kohaku to take care of himself, Fushi continued to neglect his health in preparation for the Nokkers. He wanted to do everything himself, which is a huge commitment. I don't think he understands how important things like socialization and rest are to the human experience. Just because you CAN ignore those needs doesn't mean you should. Just because you CAN try to do everything on your own doesn't mean you should. As an immortal, he's had no way of seeing that in someone else. Even if he can "bypass" exhaustion by transforming, Fushi took on too much too quickly, and now he's paying the price. I'm not a fan of Kohaku, but he wasn't wrong about taking breaks.

Guns

Forgot that marsch is basically fushi’s mother 😭

joshua rosario

the embrassment i would get if my dead body just laid out infront of everyone like kill me in the bathroom atleast\

Danny

messar had the strap on him but got caught lackin

Smash Bran'Discootch

Huh. Yknow I've never seen Kohaku look more like Hayase than when he was tied to that chair.

Devin B

The more Fushi finds out more about his powers the more he's losing his human side and eventually he's gonna end up like the Black One. When you realize that death isn't permanent for the people you care about it changes the way you care about life in general.

Daniel Robb

Fr, even his allies in this episode were shooting themselves in the face, it cannot have a good impact on Fushi's mental 😅

Daniel Robb

I Wonder how they'll rip out our hearts now that people can be rezz'd🧐

Daniel Robb

Roshi during war - "fuck them kids" 🤣

Christian Acosta

I wonder if their consciousness carries over. Like is it really a new them that gets brought back or is it just a copy with all their memories up to that point?

Leon

The way I interpret it, their spirits are still lingering around when they die (maybe like all the people we know just following Fushi around in his adventures.) and they just "repossess" their bodies once its no longer connected to the whole Fushi's domain (or rope in this case). So the shell (body) is just empty but since its still their spirit doing all the stuff, then I guess they are "conscious" continuously in that sense.

Rene

waiting for angel beats! duo reaction

Oh Alone

Gut, Try "Girls Und Panzer"

Solemnity

I thought about the immortality of those three/people fushi can bring back, but they wouldn't be immortal because they would age while alive and eventually die of natural causes no matter how many times they were brought back. Unless fushi learned how to bring them back in an improved body than what they died with.

Merfhew

It's funny that you say that. I didn't notice it before, but I can absolutely see it now. Especially after Fushi left the room, Kohaku's eyes looked very much like Hayase's eyes.

Merfhew

That's a good point. It reminds me of when Fushi stayed as "The Boy" for long periods of time, allowing us to see the aging process. I'm now curious to see what would happen if Fushi stuck to one form until it's eventual death via old age. Would he be stuck as a motionless but conscious corpse with no bodily functions, would he be able to move around like those Nokker zombies, would he automatically transform into one of his other forms (the way he does when a Nokker steals from him), or would the Black One have to manually respawn an unconscious Fushi (like when the latter transformed into a rock to avoid the pain of Gugu's death)? The more we discuss Fushi's mechanics, the more I realize just how varied the meaning of "immortal" is throughout media.

SausageGawd

We saw what happens when fushi dies. He just regenerates into his normal form again. If he were to die from being old, his body would regenerate to his normal self

Merfhew

I also wonder why the Nokkers can't steal the forms of someone Fushi resurrected. The former bodies are burned to prevent Nokker zombies, but if Fushi was killed as Hairo, the Nokkers would steal Hairo's form. Why is there a difference should the Nokkers kill Hairo himself? From my understanding, if they killed him, he'd just become a zombie (assuming they wanted to control the body). I'm probably overthinking. lol

Merfhew

@Sausage ---- We did? Are you referring to the beginning of the series when he hadn't developed a personality yet? Or am I having a dumb brain moment after leaving that giant wall of text? lol

Devin B

@Merfhew I don't think we ever saw Fushi die of old age but what @SausageGawd does sound plausible cause whenever he dies in a body he can just recover and go back to that body's original state. So if he died of old age as the boy with no name he would just go back it's original form.

Oliver

Suicide Squad let's GO

Oliver

Could you guys imagine if the nokkers had attacked everywhere but here? All warfare is based on deception

Gilthwixt

It's not explicitly covered here but I'm pretty sure Fushi gives up his ability to transform into someone when he makes a body for them. In the same way that a Nokker possessing a form cuts him off from it, a spirit doing the same thing to its own body basically kicks him out.

Hakeem Williams

Please watch “the eminence in shadow” the season finale just ended n it was incredible

Merfhew

Right, but what did you think about this week's episode of To Your Eternity?

beelzebub

It's not just that fushi doesn't like seeing their deaths. He can feel the pain when they die so doing it where he can't see wouldn't matter lol

Hello

To be fair, I think it's best that only those 3 do this. They have resolved themselves to a point where death legit does not faze them. One of them literally can't feel pain and the other two are very very tough which is the reason bon even recruited them. I don't see Any normal person or even soldier being willing to die repeatedly only to come back and die again

Drake Rage

Fushi doesn't realize who he lost, when he loses someone because he loses all his memories about them, they explained that this episode when he lost the Bear.

em

yeah like they can blow their own faces off in public without twitching, aint no way thats healthy

zangetsu1597

Since Fushi is connected to the entire city, could he turn into everyone if they all were to die? Even if he hasn't met every single individual personally, I feel that since he is connected to everyone and can feel their emotions, he should already have a whole city of people he could become once they all die. I know he doesn't need to know them well to become others either. Just my theory at least. I imagine it wouldn't be viable from a storytelling perspective to just have him becoming random people just for the hell of it.

Aziouss

That show is stupid. it makes fun of Edgy Anime by being an Edgy anime. There is nothing to it...

Aziouss

Dam those 3 dudes are too mentally tough. Like they don't see the impact of their actions on other people. Like you can handle dying over and over again. But blowing your head off in front of everyone is not "ideal" let us say
