If it's so bad, how was it trading blows with Chainsaw Man and Bleach last season lmao. It surpassed CSM in ranking on MAL at one point and made news. Currently in the top 10 most played anime OP's last season on Spotify. And if it's so bad how'd they get CloverWorks to adapt it? Aka: SpyXFamily, Promised Neverland, Horimiya, Wonder Egg, My Dress-Up Darling, etc It's not a terrible series from a storytelling or production perspective. Either you just don't like the genre, or you have some personal gripe with it and are trying to project to make yourself feel better.

Personally I dont understand the hype around this show. Kinda feels like a dark horse or a niche kind of show. After watching it I do enjoy the show so far and its funny. But usually these genres dont interest me as much. Stuff like K-On too which has a similar premise didnt click for me. Bocchi is hilarious and somewhat relatable and extremely dramatic so its keeping me in. But overall I dont think I care too much about the show. I will probably finish it at least but so far its prob a 6.5/10 for me. A good slice of life show to relax and just laugh but not exactly something I feel very invested in.

Referencing bullshit that compares anime is worthless. 90 percent of anime watchers don't give a damn enough to take part in any of that shit to begin with. The animation for this show is seriously insane. The detail in the movements that Nijika makes from 13:30 to 14:30 is incredibly well animated. Reminds me of the level of detail that Wonder Egg priority had in the casual, slice of life moments. It gives so much life to the characters

I mean that's fair MAL is generally doodoo, but it's still an ok metric to see what shows people are talking about and watching during each season. Just don't utilize the seasonal ratings as a highly accurate metric and it should be fine.

In case you're wondering, the part where she keeps adding tsun to tsun dere (talking about her sister) is a play on words as tsundere is a composite of tsun(cold person) and dere(loving person), with her implying that there is a lot more cold than love to her sister

I'm loving this show already, so far so good. Bocchi's personality reminds me so much of my ex lol the inner monologue, social anxiety, and love of rock music. It might seem annoying or overly dramatic especially if you don't know anyone with that level of social anxiety, but I appreciate this show keeping it so real in such a hilarious and upbeat way. Thanks for putting me on!
