i like this show i hate the anime ages. like these arent 14 yo and 16 yo man. They shouldve just made them highschoolers and the other guys older. Why would actual gangs allow other "childgangs" to divide up there territory, or why would the police allow all this shit if they are all children. Doesnt make sense but it couldve if they just were in highschool and not middleschool

I can kind of see why Takemichi turned into the asshole that he was cause without present time Takemichi's consciousness he's just a regular 15 year old and with that much influence available to him at the time he can easily get caught up in that lifestyle.

I mean, most of the stuff Takemichi goes through justifies the crying. He reminds me of a kid trying to fit a square piece into a triangular spot, so I'm all for calling out his low IQ... but when it comes to his reaction to trauma, it feels believable.

i dont think they really internalized what being part of a "gang" really was when they were kids, they had this idealized version of toman where its just them getting up to hoodrat shit and fighting in the streets and then when they become adults its not that simple anymore. its like the idea of the "good yakuza" like kiryu kazama in the yakuza games vs the actual evil shit the yakuza do every day IRL

N'ah when he mentally goes back to the past, his present body is just in acoma and kinda needs to be protected. I forget if they apply time dealation rules to this: Y'anno, he'll be asleep for 1 hour in present date. That 1 hour in present date is a 1 month time lapse of whatever he's doing in the past. Anyone remember if something like that is the case?

When he first started going to the past as long as he didn't make any major changes his body was in a vegetative state and Naoto had to look over him and actually had him on an IV drip but when he first made a major change and went back to the present he found himself continuing from where old Takemichi left off. Also if Takemichi went to the past for a month a month would've passed in the present. He can only go back and forth exactly 12 years.
