Man I remember being so mad at Kou since the Reim-Magnostadt War is basically over and they were like "Nope". As for Al-Thamen's reason for destroying the world remember back in season 1 Aladdin asked Ithnan why are they making the world as enemies and the answer he said was: "To free us from the prison that binds this world, Destiny!" By falling into depravity, their Rukhs black and by destroying the world they believe that only then they are free of "Destiny". I really hate that we never got a season 3 I really wanted Alma Torran arc adapted into anime, everything about the Magi World was fleshed out during that arc.
