Shiraishi being a real one for Sugimoto and Asirpa. It goes to show that the people we're rooting for are just Sugimoto, Asirpa and Shiraishi ( and I guess Tanigaki ). Everyone else is either with Tsurumi or Hijikata and those two old men's goals boarder on extreme change which who knows if those will be a good or bad things. The real goal is is making sure the Ainu people aren't gonna get screwed over because really this is suppose to be their gold.

Koito's response actually makes a lot of since Tsurumi went through the trouble of faking a whole kidnapping incident to get him on his side. He basically made Koito feel very special.

Koito’s response was interesting, it could be genuine and he’s bought into it just like Tsukishima, but it could also be that he’s actually scared and just putting up a front for now so that Tsurumi doesn’t suspect him of turning traitor.

Yona of the Dawn is good if you want some generic fantasy 60s Disney romance. Oregairu is good if you want to see characters with flaws talk shit to each other and eventually try to become better people.
