I'm not understanding why a lot of y'all are caping for Mogamett in these comments.... Those people do not enjoy being underground. The majority of them literally have to accept their environment or go insane. You can't tell me any human being would love living in a literal ditch be ffr. Also, for all of the "they chose to be there" did you not hear them say that if one of them tries to escape they will kill them all. Saying they chose to be there makes no sense when the people who "chose" to be there are dead and these are the remaining generations (mostly). Mogamett is trash, he didn't make a better country than the one that he came from he just flipped the script. You can be a separatist all you want like I get it I'm Black I understand, but at the expense of people and CHILDREN when you can literally just run the country without them? Absolutely not.

There is a lot of grey in this series. All the countries we have seen so far have slaves, the poorest "class" in every country other than Sindria had horrible living conditions. Mogamett's backstory would make anyone a villain, but is he doing villain things? is he taking revenge on all "goi"? No, his speech was about Magicians rising above those kinds of petty emotions and be logical and efficient and make a better world for people to live in. When every country's poorest "class" of people have horrible lives, death, and slavery, Mogamett's country's poorest "class" is given everything they need to live, and safety. Leam Empire is supposed to be good right? It is led by a Magi, the Sheherazaad girl, they entered an alliance with Sindria, but they said that only "citizens" of Leam live a good life, the slaves and stuff have horrible lives. People are forced to fight to the death in the colosseum, etc. Remember Kou Empire sent that Prince, Kouha I believe, to make Magnostadt surrender or prepare for War against Kou Empire, and Mogamett chose War. The Prince was surprised Magnostadt had become so strong to be confident enough to choose War with Kou, the Empire that is wrecking and conquering countries across the continent. So Mogamett's system has made his country one of the strongest forces in the world. (Magnostadt also serves as a Safe Haven for all Magicians in the World, since Magicians are treated really poorly by Kings/Nobles) TL;DR Mogamett looks like a Bad guy on the surface, but the story/nuance is a lot deeper in Magi. I am not saying he is Good, but at the same time, it is wrong to say he is Bad.

This dude needs to have a rotation of magic and non-magic users go down there to power the city then I would say this is pretty fair.
