The sub for this show is actually so good that lowkey the diversity the dub enables doesnt even cut it... that's just me tho. I watch in sub then watch these in dub so I quite literally am seeing both edit: im late af but the way everyone is glazing in the comments calling anyone who says anything positive about sub a "weeb" is hilarious 😂😂

Which is why there is an entire portion of Night City named after the countries capital.

So BD's are Brain Dances. They are basically VR movies that you experience with all of your senses. This moon scene was one. XBD's are X-rated/illegal Brain Dances. That includes porn and snuff stuff. The opening scene of episode 1 was the last moments of the cyberpsycho army guy. His last bit of memories was stolen from the corpse and turned into an XBD by illegal means. There are people who like experiencing a death with a degree of separation.

Idk if anyone has given you the proper info yet but, in an interview, the writer confirmed that "choom" is a stand in for the n-word so it's got more punch than "dude" or "bro" but isn't tied to race. It can be friendly or hostile depending on the use of it but it really gives a better impression of the tone in a lot of instances where it's used.
