at this point they've met up with the next white whistle (who's a baddie with character design as good as bondrewd) and made a lot of progress going down the 6th layer. And we got some interesting side story about some shenanigans going on that's prolly related to the 2k years thing

Amazing reaction as always this anime gets a 10/10 for me. The only gripe i have with season 2 is how they did Vueko, so dang sad bru her story.. but ahhh The music was so good as usual ~ Love this anime well done~

We don’t know if the 7th layer is the bottom, the 6th layer is just the only layer we have any info on. The 7th layer and below is completely unknown. Also, to put it into perspective, this entire arc takes place near the entrance of the 6th layer, we’ve barely explored the 6th layer.

this season is literally gold one ! they put everything great on this season. great animation, great voice actor, great music , great writer so the pace of this anime is feels so good ! when I read the manga I really confuse what is happens... when I see the anime version, its all clear what was that, and the feeling on every character. and Im really glad everyone get nice development riko is not useless anymore, he can be more dependable leader . and that OST , me too I need to buy that album , kevin penkin do really great job ! I cant wait for next season of this anime,

Vueko thought she was a hollow this entire time. So it was a relief to her that she was still human. Also the saddest part of this episode was when she had transformed and we were hearing her inner thoughts, because it showed that Mitty was probably conscious the entire time she was with Nanachi, just trapped in that form. And Faputa didn't realize until the very end that she hadn't just inherited Irumyuui's rage, but her love too. This is the most tragic show I can't stop watching. EDIT: The next layer isn't necessarily the bottom. It's just the last layer that people have even scraps of knowledge about.

I was definitely worried with the pacing at first but the anime definitely did the manga justice. If there was ever an arc that could be summed up as "tragically beautiful" this would be it. (OH FYI regarding Faputa's comment about Riko's soul. Riko was born in the abyss/was stillborn and was revived by a relic. So she's more or less not entirely human) Also the composer is Kevin Penkin. I haven't listened to much of his work outside of this, but that man put his whole foot in this soundtrack.

The Stones Faputa put on Veruekos grave we’re the same thing she made of reg to keep her company when he left. He made one of her (with the three lines like her hair has) and one of Irumyui (big tall one with the circle like the entrance to the Village). Same idea to keep her company while there all gone Also There may still be more layers, they are in 6 rn and White Whistles have said there is a 7th, beyond that no info has made it back up though, could be last Layer but the Abyss could go down to 15 for all we know

Pakkoyan (The Cyclops who threw Vueko down the stairs) was Vueko's lover. In the manga it is understood that they have a love story and that they have also had sexual relations. So Pakkoyan sacrificed herself by throwing Vueko down the stairs to stop Vueko's pain and to stop the Sixth Layer curse that takes away humanity and makes you a hollow. Unfortunately Vueko had forgotten the existence of the curse and in any case she thought she was no longer human, these two things plus the coincidence of the fact that right there the wall had broken, led to her death. If there hadn't been a hole in the wall there, Vueko would have survived and could have stayed with Faputa, Reg Nanachi and Riko.

unfortunately this is probably the end for the anime as its caught up almost to with the manga and the author takes friggn forever to bring out new chapters. maybe in 5-10 years we'll get a 3rd season.

7th layer is not the bottom. There are tells of an 8th layer. The Manga hasn’t shown the 7th layer yet, but (spoilers warning) riko and the group just came into contact with the white whistle skargo and her group. They around current 200 meters from the 7th layer. Will be years befor and adaptation will be made.

(SMALL SPOILERS FOR ANIME ONLYS) The cyclops girl (who threw vueko down the stairs) was actually her girlfriend when they were humans! In the manga it actually shows them, well, doing things, which they cut from the anime, which is why it kind of comes out of nowhere when she tries to save Vueko as her last good deed. Actually, back when Vueko first reappeared in the village, you can see the cyclops girl glancing at her multiple times before looking away. She was one of the few people to recognize her because she was part of the original group and also her ex! The guy who yelled at Riko for grabbing the paper in the market in the first couple of episodes was also part of the original group!
