Regarding Cocyutus being goofy about acting as a seat, I am not sure if you remember the past with them talking about Ains having a child someday as a successor. Back then, Cocyutus was basically daydreaming about being a paternal figure to that successor and acting as a horse and such.

As funny as the whole Cocytus wanted to be ride on, I think he was alluding to the fact that he wants to a very good uncle to Ainz's kid in the future. If he ever has one.

When Demiurge talks about his plans for "the Theocracy" in the beginning, that's a mistranslation. He's talking about his plans for the Holy Kingdom instead, a different country. The same mistranslation unfortunately repeats. When Cocytus says he "wants to train for the one who will ride him in the future", he's referring to a possible heir for Ainz. All the way back in the beginning of season 1, Cocytus became enamored with the idea of being a doting uncle for Ainz' heir. Charm Species isn't all-powerful. It just makes the target think of the caster as a close friend, and people may have things they wouldn't tell even their close friends. And if the caster behaves in a way a friend usually wouldn't, like Shalltear almost threatening to kill the Quagoa, the spell will break. Sasuga Ainz covering for his subordinate!

Everyone in Nazarick including Demiurge don't fear death, their greatest fear is to disappoint Ainz and he leave Nazarick just like other AOG members.(they didn't show it well in anime but when Ainz said he was disappointed in Lupusregina in season 3, everyone in that room was shaking in fear) fun fact, create fortress is 10th tier spell and all create spells keep consuming caster's mana to maintain.

Cocytus weird line was a reference to the second episode where he wished to be called uncle by ainz child who they assume to be born in the future. the training is to carry the child on his back as a form of play similar to parents with a young child.

Alot of Ainz's spells are based on Dungeons & Dragons spells, Create Fortress is a classic D&D spell so it may feel like abit of an ass pull but there's some ground work laid for it.
