A thing to notice is that since this is from Hanekawas pov, Araragi probably didn’t look as epic as he was portrayed in the final scene

That montage at the beginning was a callback to a conversation way back in season 1 where she was talking about how she wanted to travel the world after high school before going to college. There was also a scene way back in Bake where Black Hanekawa is explaining that she has to kill Araragi because he'll reject her otherwise and she can't mentally handle that, while showing visuals of Hanekawa crying in a very, VERY similar way to this episode. I didn't get either of them until watching these reactions to Bakemonogatari, then seeing the sheer amount of setup they did for these later season.

Wait, it went by too fast, but I think Hanekawa said that was the first time she opened the door to her house herself, that is why she felt like she belonged in the house for once.... SO, her parents didn't even give her a key to their house before this??? No room, no key to the house, damn she really was treated like a complete stranger by her own family. No wonder there used to be a random window open in their old house (That Araragi used), probably was used by Hanekawa to get inside the house....
