Me gathering my thoughts for this episode: Sooo Haine/Hiruko/Mother is using Shiori's data in order to lead Mio down where they are for what? Also the big shadow standing by Shiori is just a lacky??? Haine must be terrifying when she uses her full power. I think Ryunnosuke has some control over how far he sees into that past and his ability is linked to Haine. When Haine scanned in guessing she saw how far ahead he was seeing. Also Ryunnosuke must be crazy, he was able to steal Haines eye and his literal data is in his sister's body, how?? I want their backstory already

After last episode, I was thinking Tokiko was sus, then I remembered the festival scene where homie runs up the stairs and she's the first person he sees, talking like "I didn't mean for this to happen" or something like that. It was the last time they showed the funeral that I realized the doctor nursing the shadow was there, and then they revealed it was their dad. Lots of set up in this shit lol

that sentence gave it away for me, but it also reveals she is not understanding the big picture of her actions and getting used. This episode strongly is hinting at that too, with her clinching her fist. But now we know its related to her father.

Just to clarify, they do know where Ryuonosuke's body is. Nobody is hiding his body. Remember a couple episodes back, them saying they found Ryuonosuke's body bitten from what looked like animal attacks (but it was just torn apart to hide the strangle marks. They mentioned this to say how it was similar to how the shadows tried to hide Ushio's strangle marks)

I took the "body" to refer to the physical being of whatever's residing inside Hizuru. So if it's Ryuonosuke's shadow inside Hizuru. Where exactly is the physical body of the shadow? It doesn't have a physical body right now like Ushio's shadow or Shiori's shadow. It's just sharing Hizuru's body. Remember, Hizuru and Ryuonosuke isn't exactly a split personality. The old man said "it's close to a split personality but not exactly like one". I'm a manga reader so I don't wanna spoil anything but that's what I interpreted as to what "the body" referred to.

So... Haine is the big shadow with 4 eyes that was protecting the little girl (Shiori)? He killed Ryuunosuke... Shiori Shadow is special too, she was talking like an old lady so she is an old shadow, probably the second most important enemy after the "Mother" shadow, since that other special shadow (Haine?) was protecting her.

@Nick, yep that festival episode told us that both Tokiko and her father(the doctor) have some kind of relationship with the shadows. She is for sure getting used since she wants to protect Mio but the Shadows actually kill everyone during the festival. The shadow kept spreading even to the outside of the island? So I think it might have consumed the whole world. There is no way Tokiko would be okay with that, but we still don't know about the father. The Doctor is Sou's father too but is keeping it a secret from him, which makes me think he is a bad person and might even know that the festival kills everyone but is okay with it.

I thought the big shadow beside Shiori was Haine since it says "its been 14 years" to Ryuunosuke. You think Shiori's shadow and Mother are the same? I don't think so. Shiori's shadow is someone clearly important, but probably not Mother since she still does some dirty work, which I don't think Mother would do, since Mother is basically God. I think Shiori's shadow could be like the 2nd in command, and the big shadow (Haine?) is her bodyguard or a General of the "army."

I don't think Shinpei told Mio anything this loop, so she just thought she saw a shadow, but doesn't know they are dangerous/bad.
