In Japanese culture calling someone by their first name is seen as being too familiar with someone so people usually call others by their last name. You don't call someone by their first name unless you're close to that person or that person wants you to call them by their first name.

wait. yall never played concentration???????????? i never played with playing cards, just did the board games and picture card decks (flowers, animals, seasons, etc). very common childhood game. even my little brother played it in the 2010s

i dont trust anyone who goes "lets use my own special deck" especially when they add "made by my family". they can have markers on top so you know which card is which. that is scam they do in card games where they mark the back of the cards with a special ink, a crease or some other indicator.

Damn I'm glad you like this show so much the gambling/mind game genre is just so nice. Also I commented this in the first episode aswell but if you really really want another gambling anime after kakegurui keep Kaiji: ultimate survior in mind, it has a weird looking artstyle and doesn't have the aesthetics and cool character design like kakegurui but it's really good
