Just some info about the eyeball (NOT a spoiler, it's just that the anime didn't mention it): It's explained in the LN that before using the hourglass cash shop item at the end, Ainz hesitated to kill Shaltear. Aura noticed this and used a skill to distract Shaltear for a moment (the eyeball), allowing Ainz enough time to use the item and cast the super tier magic. That's why you see Aura exhaling smoke in the scene right afterward because that's how she casts that skill. I don't remember if it's the same exact skill, but Aura did the same thing to provoke Hamsuke in episode 7 by blowing that smoke on her (Hamsuke's a female, btw). It's a distraction/provocation ability.

the eye that appeared over shaltear's shoulder was the dark elf twin with the scroll. it was an ability that momentarily made shaltear sense another presence and distract her before her final strike. the person who mind controlled shaltear died the night she was mind controlled. it was the woman in the white robe with a gold dragon embroidered on it. the one that shaltear stabbed THROUGH another dude with a holy lance and killed both of them in one strike with it. the spell from the world item had a small delay in taking effect so it couldnt stop shaltear's strike in time

I dont 100% remember but im pretty sure that eye that shalltear saw behind her was a skill that Aura used to distract Shalltear so Ainz would win without risk, which is why she said "Shorty" right before she died

in regards to the "last online 6 years ago" memes, that's genuinely why overlord exists as a series. The author of overlord started writing as a hobby when all their D&D friends were too busy with work, life, etc.

So small clarification not that it matters. All of the weapons ainz used in the episode were the weapons and equipment hos friends gave him when they stopped playing. The sticks that he snapped to summon them were the cash shop items that he paid real world money to get in game. Same as the glass vials that he smashed to cast spells instantly. All just microtransactions in the game.

That point at the end where Ainz uses Super Tier Magic, as far as I remember the face that appears behind Shalltear is magic cast by Aura as Ainz hesitated to kill Shalltear.

The thing that distracted Shaltear was Aura, using the same skill that she used on Hamsuke to scare her out of her den. Thats why Mare said "did you just do something" when it panned to them.

the ending sound like the heroes mighty victory against the demon lord, but you guys by now know ainz and his group are not the good guys. thought he may be the "bad"guy he is just a guy who misses his friends, and thinks he might find them here. so he will do anything he can to let his friends that ainz "their " home is still alive and ready for them to comeback. but the sad reality we all know he is all alone with the npc turned alive.

Yeah just to explain a bit that is hard to get in the show but they say in the books: Ainz hesitated to break the cash item that speeds up his super tier magic at the end, because he sees the NPCs as the kids of his friends, and he doesnt want to kill Shalltear (especially since at this point, they dont actually know if the can resurrect the NPCs if they die in this world... they are essentially real people after all). Since he hesitated, Shalltear was about to mess him up bad and possibly come back and win, but she got distracted by the "eye", which was from Aura. Thats why Shalltear said "chibi" at the end, cuz she knew that Aura got in on it. There is no one controlling Shalltear at this point. They kinda touch on it, but the books make it clear that the reason she is just standing there doing nothing until attacked is most likely due to having no instructions. Essentially, she got mind controlled but then left with no instructions (I dont remember if the books specifically explain why at this point, so I wont say in case spoilers). Also, in case you misunderstood, the "cash shop item" when he kept swapping weapons were those little sticks with words on them, not the weapons. The weapons were the badass weapons that were left by his friends. The sticks just allow him to bypass having to carry and equip so many weapons, so he can swap instantly which gives him a huge edge in the battle. Thanks for the great content!

yeah, it is subtle in the anime, since you have to remember how Aura is using her skills (breath). I am actually happy that this one is explainable using only what was shown in the anime.

the reason is also shown in the anime. Shalltear was hit by the spell, but managed to body the spellcaster before the spell was finished. So basically an unfinished mind control spell, where the new instructions are missing.

Sadly those stats do only partially show why Shalltear is so broken. The basic idea is that her classes contradict each other, and this build should not work well. But players underestimated the powerplayer Pereroncino, Shalltears creator. Her build works so well because it is so weird.
