The Episode Director for this episode was trained by Tatsuya Yoshihara (CSM Action Director and the top guy from Black Clover) so he animated the magical girl part as a favour. He also helped train the Episode Director of RoK Episode 21 who made his debut on JJK Episode 17.

Leave it to this show to have a beach episode that's just chill and wholesome because they got the swimsuit shenanigans out of their system in episode 2. The "hambirdglar" scene is an anime original, and also a real thing that happens around Enoshima. It's a type of hawk called a black kite, and they've been known to dive-bomb people to steal their food.

Oh also, I mentioned it before but it really looks like you like when anime goes into the detail of some craft/hobby and you enjoyed how chill this ep was so you should consider some anime that combine both things perfectly. Yuru Camp is probably the best example but there are way more anime like that.

@Roshi - The way you're talkin about the photography, it's basically the same for cosplay too! It's been pretty fun as someone who's been around those who genuinely put a ton of effort into making cosplays and helping with that process as well - a lot of the cosplay design/making info is spot on and true to life. Just fun to see it done so accurately, I guess?

I love how they often callback to gojo's childhood with gramps especially at the first moment he fell in love with the hina dolls. It really makes you understand how much his grandpa is an inspiration to him. I thought it was dope writing how they callback to the first moment and added more to that flashback scene when Juju said it was love at first sight

I think the manga goes more in-depth on some of the Fashion/Photography info. Especially the Author notes at the bottom of some chapters. The anime cut out a few scenes talking about Makeup techniques in a previous episode from what I remember.

I think we can all relate to Juju when she was talking about her wanting to become a magical girl and as you grow up you understand that its not possible for me it was dbz, spiderman and naruto that i always wanted to be like.

I like that you brought up the animation of this episode. From what I saw on the comments either on YouTube or Crunchy, this episode was actually the debut episode for the new animation director which explains why it seems different from before. The animation up to this point has been amazing and just became so much more fluid here.

The folks who make this anime used their money in a smart way, by taking photos of real world places, then giving it an anime coloring to use has the backdrop, they can focus on the main characters and the story. Side note, your channel and Rock D Lee's channel are my favorites on both Patreon and Youtube. Keep up the great work!

Despite all the suggestive ecchi moments, the story, characters, and animation are top tier. Straight up just so much love being poured into this show, not to mention the immense detail to a hobby a lot of the people in the anime community are in. If there was anything that I want to pick out of this episode alone that I loved... was the beach. Compared to all the other beach episodes out there, where the color saturation is on max, this episode showed an actual Japanese beach. Like that is what it truly looks like! This show is great

His boss wanted to see how he's handle being the lead for once and was so impressed he let him take the role

I know in many of the episodes so far that you guys are mostly joking about the guy getting some type of "payment," but you have to realize that he's just a pure-hearted,somewhat naive guy who spent all his free time perfecting his hina doll making skills. He hasn't been corrupted like the rest of us. He's obviously attracted to her, but it goes against his nature to think or do anything overtly sexual with her(except sub-consciously in that one dream). He just sees her as this beautiful, happy friend who accepts him for who he is.
